Joyetech eGo Twist just arrived

I have been lurking here for a couple of weeks, since receiving an e-cig as a gift. Got hooked quickly so did some research and ordered eGo Twists for me and hubby. I am still unclear on some of the mechanics of these things but I'm figuring it out. My first question is: do you have to push the little button on the battery in every time you inhale? (I thought I specifically avoided buying one of those LOL.)

Hi and welcome to the ECF. Yes you do have to hold the button every time you take a puff. It's a little strange at first, but you get used to it really quickly.
There are some automatic batteries (those that detect you inhaling and activate the power to the coil for you without having to push a button) but I think you made a 'mistake' that may turn out in your favor by ordering these type.

The twist is a solid choice for any vapor, new or old. Enjoy them and :vapor:

Thank you! My next question is related but somewhat rhetorical, why the heck do none of these things come with manuals? Not one word of instruction came with the package except how to use the lanyard of all things LOL.
If you want tutorials on just about anything in the e-cig world, check out PBusardo and/or GrimmGreen on YouTube! They have great, fun, informative vids on just about anything e-cig you can think of... If you're looking for a specific device, just search it on their channel page...
Or of course, as stated above, ask here.... As you can see, there are tons of us willing and eager to throw in our 2 cents lmao...

LOL, yes, there is a lack of documentation when buying vaping supplies.

Below is an excellent video that shows you all you may need know about your battery including operation, charging, use and everything else in between. (It's a little long and may give you some info you don't need but stick with it...)

You can skip forward to about 3 minutes to avoid the 'humor' from the author (P Busardo - he's an aquired taste, but I like him)

Since Ag posted PBusardo for ya, I'll post Grimm... Again, acquired taste, but I love his vids... Both guys are great! (Sorry, couldn't figure out how to embed the vid here...)
THE EGO TWIST IS A GAME CHANGER - YouTube

I watch both but prefer pbusardo, Grimm keeps burping in every single one of his videos like it was just blinking, has nothing to do with vaping but I find it disgusting (and no, it's not normal, you don't go burping while you talk to say, your boss)

You just click the insert video icon just above the edit window and paste in the link. It took me around 200 posts to figure that out too

The first look-alikes I had were automatics (no button) and they even lit up on the end. I still have a few just because I think they are kind of cool, but I don't use them. I always find out about my changing preferences as I go along. It turns out that I don't really care if it looks like a cigarette or Dr. Who's sonic screwdriver; what trips my trigger is nicotine, throat-hit (caused by nicotine in the juice), and clouds of vapor. I know it's stupid, but if I don't see clouds, my brain just cant accept that it's getting what it was after.

Most twist batteries are manually operated meaning you will push the button to fire the coil and vaporize the juice. You can get batteries that are automatic, meaning they fire when you inhale your clearomizer. The manual gives you longer battery life and more control and accuracy, so they are generally preferred. You will likely get used to it very quickly, and if you don't, you can always find an automatic that you may like. Welcome to ECF, congrats on getting here, good luck, thanks for sharing and Vape On!

Eh, different strokes for different folks... I just like Grimm better cause it feels like a buddy is telling me about his new vape mail... (Plus being a Stern fan, I look forward to the burps for inevitable "what's in the news Robin" lmao) But you certainly can't go wrong with Phil either...

Gotcha... Thing is I'm on iPad and always just use the quick post... Going to advanced settings, I can't mouse over the buttons to see what they do... I appreciate the info tough! I'll have to fiddle in the sandbox thread and see if I can find the right tab...

If you have questions, and your like me and videos drive you nuts- just ask. Most here are happy to help. After you have 5 posts, feel free to send me a PM, I'm usually around.

A lot of people can't stand the egomaniacal ravings of the nitwits who publish these videos. I prefer to read igomaniacal ravings of nitwits who write blog posts. Actually, this thread inspired me to write this one.
