Thanks. I've been using a voltage reader and the 510 base on other batteries to age the coils a bit. I've tweaked, turned , parried and manipulated he prebuilt coils and barely any are making it over 1.2. Of Those that do 80% go south the moment cotton is tucked. Imo they should be selling 1.5-1.8 to allow for their variance. Some measured 1.3 and as you say fired one and failed after. Very very common.
I built a 1.5 coil which is a pain on these devices using post holes. And it works and fires fine but once again the wick is a pain. A lot of cotton nets flooding and really tight draw. Medium cotton nets massive amounts of flooding and dry hits on the fourth draw.
I feel like I've done everything. It's just too fiddly to me. I'm trying to quit smoking not get annoyed and want a cigarette
I'm sure for super advanced users building perfect coils in any configuration with ease who have a bit more patience than me it can be a good device.
P.s the wire they use doesn't appear to be kanthal or nichrome and emits quite a foul taste even when wicked properly. That's what was killing flavor.
Sorry for all those typos. My galaxy note 8 keyboard hates my fingers apparently
