I'm interested too in seeing if ANYONE has ever tried the joyetech ejuice ???

I have two separate needle tip bottles that I use just for my eRoll, as I also have had little luck in refilling from the standard bottle tips.
On another note...I have used the SR and LR atomizers on my eRoll....really haven't noticed much difference either way.
I was able to rebuild two eGo atomizers last weekend...came out fine...tested in at 1.8 and 2.1 ohms.

Probably shouldn't hold our breath. I wonder why the 510 section was tagged Joye. Maybe the device specific areas started up before the knockoffs hit the scene. The 4081 started with the Njoy Pro, but Njoy never got an area. The King deserves it's own, though I think a disposables area would be of great value to the forum. ... not enough profit margin I guess.

I have this one atty that tastes burnt. Could not for the life of me get rid that burnt taste. Changing the wick didn't help, soaking in rubbing alcohol did make it go away. The atty finally quit firing. What I figured out was that there is wick material in the coil. The filament has a what looks like a silicone material inside. Has anyone else noticed this?

I am wondering if a dry burn for cleaning is bad idea. With no liquid in that wick wouldn't that just burn the material inside the filament?

Yes, I've noticed it, and it is why I don't dry-burn mine. I personally just flush them out and if it doesn't taste acceptable to me after that, I toss it out.

I've gone through quite a few atomizers (roughly one every 4 days or so), but I really, really, really can't stand the taste of burnt wick, so...

I see people here trying to make these things last weeks and months, but honestly they taste like crap to me after a few days. Either I'm just really picky or it's just the liquids I'm using, as they tend to be pretty subtle flavors. I do have some mint that can overpower the burnt wick taste, so I think that's probably the difference.

But really, it doesn't bother me much anyway. Seriously, even at $20/5, I'm used to spending about $150/month on cigarettes. I can handle $50/month on this stuff..

I hear you, I cannot stand the burnt taste. I was spending more than you , $200 per month on cigarettes ($6+ per pack)

Do you think a wooden case for the PCC would work?

I'm thinking of making a replacement case and putting the lithium battery from my PCC into it. I like the idea of having an extra slot for an eRoll and a sliding cover. I've been looking at wooden cases for the iphone and I think a similar thing could be achieved with the eRoll. It does seem like a pretty big job though.

Unloaded, How does the mesh not short the coil?
I've been wanting to recoil one of these attys but having a hard time getting the ceramic piece out. I think if we could replace the wick inside the coil with mesh it would be about as close to perfect as these could get.

In light of my discovery that there is wick inside the filament I have started a new atty cleaning method that seem to work as well a dry burn or maybe even better . Its a little time consuming, but I think its better than a dry burn.

I soak the atty in rubbing alcohol overnight. This removes the majority of the juices and gunk left behind. It also ensures that the wick is not fused with the filament inside the atty. In the morning I remove the spike from the base. In a clean solution of rubbing alcohol I use a very small screwdriver and rub the filament.(paper clip or something small should work just as well) Notice I said rub, not scrap. The filament is fragile and you can break it pretty easily. This removes more black residue. I then blot the filament, again gently, with a paper towel. Keep turning the towel to clean portion until there is no more black residue coming off. I follow the same process with the wick.

The end result is very clean atty, almost brand new.

I also use the small screw driver to remove the spike.I pry up with the screw driver in space between the spike and the outside of the atty.Working the spike on alternate sides. 2 needle nose pliers work, but if you mark the spike with the teeth of the pliers, you are going to cause a place for liquid to seep out when the tank is connected.
