I realize this is the eRoll thread and the pitting is on my T2 heads....just in case there is no confusion. This was the best picture that came out. You can see pitting on the inside threads under a magnifier.

Well that t does look like actual metal pitting. looks like I either am wrong about denture tablets or that isn't normal stainless. There are many mixtures for stainless steel of course. Some are almost entirely nickel . Usually very old ones. Nickel is quite expensive. the lacquer could be just a out any base from alkyd to urethane. probably acrylic or a baked on vegtable oil coating. it's cheap. Both are quite soft. It could also be that crap they put on plate steel to keep it from rusting. Dunno what it is but it stinks when you burn it. I went to art school so i know a bit about a lot of materials but not a whole lot about any of them. I'll definitely do some more checking into denture tablets though.

I gotta say, batteries don't cost much.. I wish I'd noticed how much mine had degraded in performance.. I just ordered a new battery and it lasts 4 times as long as one I thought was fine.. lol. Ordered another right away. Also.. using type a LR atomizer and I gotta say... works great.. more hit and vapor with less pull.. so if anybody is worried about discharging battery faster.. you'll get more satisfying hit with less pulling.. so you'll either hit more and be satisfied sooner, or pull less for same effect.. New battery lasts me through a whole cup of coffee, even with the lr atomizer. Still waiting to try stainless mesh wick on the lr atty... wanted to at least give them a go with standard first. Third day, still hitting ok, May swap wick tomorrow though

That sucks man... Try popping in to a convenience store and buy some nJoy Kings (the short skinny one in a plastic zippo style case). They should hold you over but the price per ($8.00) is horrid.

I get the nJoys at my local Walmart and they get $6.87 for them. Still steep but they work in a pinch.

I haven't had this happen with the eRoll, but with another system that used similar tanks and attys, I used to pry the cap off the bottom to refill or clean and with one tank that had been refilled a bunch of times, I went to pull the tank out of the PV and the bottom broke completely off. It stayed stuck on the spike on the atty, so of course the remaining juice poured out.

Just wanted to give a heads up that this can happen if you weaken the bottom too much by opening it often for cleaning or refilling. That's one of the reasons I use a UCan or needle tipped bottle for refilling instead of prying the cap open repeatedly.

Does the cap have the soft silicone around the little whole or is it hard plastic?

Why do people have any reason to pull them apart?

I drip into my tanks by placing the drops on the side of the hole.
And I clean them by rinsing them out, which I hardly ever bother to do.

You can get pretty much every drop of juice (or water if you clean them) out of them by simply shaking them like a thermometer.
I put the hole facing down on a folded square of toilet paper and just shake it, and voila, completely dry.

You people are making it harder than it needs to be.
:)

I pulled my eGo twist apart while cleaning some CE3 clearos. I screwed the CE3 onto the battery and wiggled the plastic tank too hard and oops!

Anyone experience the eroll leak through the mouth piece. (Leak from the hole on the very top)

If you haven't modified the tank, the only way that can happen is for so much juice to collect in the two air passages that it's sucked past the first baffle and collects so much in the space between the two end caps that you're suckling it out the hole. There's tons of visual indication that it's time to clean or change the tank before you get to that point.
