Have there been anymore instances of the Eroll firing in the case?
I have never had it happen, but I think the possibility is something worth mentioning again so new users are aware.
..

Who had one fire in the case? I haven't seen that mentioned before. Sure it was firing and not charging? Both look the same and could be confusing. What part of S.IN are you? I'm in E'ville.

Mine fired in the case once, i had posted about it when it happened. I could hear it crackling from a good 10 feet away and it was very hot. I tend to flip it around the other way if its charged now whenever i think of it, but plenty of times ive forgotten, either way hasnt happened again. Hope it doesnt

I've found one interesting little 'issue' with both of my batteries - if I accidentally drag on the battery charging end instead of the cartridge, the ecig fires, but will not shut off until the overheating shut off kicks in. I know that both batteries did not do this previously (dragging on the wrong end in the dark seems to be a recurring issue for me) but both have started. Not a big deal, atty survives, but gets a little dry and the cover gets really hot.

I've also seen people stating to clean the attys by soaking in vodka - I've tried this a few times, but it doesn't seem to actually do anything - no removal of dark matter, the vodka doesn't even get anything in it. Is it that my vodka isn't strong enough, or is this just an idea that doesn't really work?

All of mine fire full duration if you drag through the tip. Not really sure why it does this but i believe all Erolls do this

As far as Vodka goes, how long are you soaking? Vodka can take a while to absorb the gunk. Its a lot quicker to boil it for 10 minutes. I rest mine in a spoon inside the boiling water so it doesnt come in contact with the pot, im afraid that rubber will melt.

Well, since pg and vg are both water soluable... I am pretty sure your vodka is OK. When the time comes for me to clean my atty, I am just going to use an old juice syringe to blast warm water through it. Kind of like cleaning out a clearomizer.
That's what I do. Before and after a dry burn. Put a drop on the coil, put it togther, put 3 drops on the spike and go.
I used ever clear early on, because somebody said..... It really didn't make a difference.

Thanks VC, I couldn't remember and wasn't going to read this whole thread again.
Unloaded, I'm in E'ville too. I killed my avatar so you probably just don't recognize me from the vaporbank thread.

Just no eRoll love for me today. I don’t know what’s going on. I am using a brand new atomizer, new tank and fully charged batteries. In fact, I have 2 new atomizers and there is no difference. The best way I can explain it is if you were trying to take a drag and the battery is ready to die. Airy sound, no crackle, little throat hit and the vapor is so so. This is why I have never been a fan of any kit that uses an atomizer. More erratic then a school girl having a bad hair day. UGH!! Yes, I thought maybe both wicks are too tight and I did loosen some. No change. Also, 2 small puffs and the thing is so hot!

Had exactly the same problem last week. Tried 4 different atomizers and at least 3 different tanks. Turns out it was the battery.

Sounds like I need to order some extra batteries just in case.

After just a couple of days with this eRoll, I'm in love. I haven't touched an ego since it arrived. I didn't realize how much I missed the small form factor, and it's nice to be able to get great vapor, throat hit, and flavor with such a small device. So if I have to have spare batteries on hand just in case, it's worth it.

I've been vaping for 8 months, and I think for the first time I can say I've reached my vaping bliss. The eRoll + great juice = happy bookworm.

That was the first battery issue I've had personally. It didn't fail, per se, but got hard to draw and then would just 'fade' for a bit. It did come back, but it's still a tough draw. So in the trash bin it went. For $9 I don't feel bad just tossing them.

Heck, all of the eRoll parts are just cheap. Even if I toss an entire unit (tank + atomizer + cone + battery) every single week, it's still tons cheaper than smoking.

So far, though, I replace the atty once or twice per week. Cone, once so far in 3 months (just got dingy and scratched). Battery, once (couple days ago).

I know I could resurrect the atties (and probably that battery), but part of the allure of the eRoll for me is that it's semi-disposable and thus, no fuss. Plus, trying to force myself to use a device that's not performing perfectly just makes me want a cigarette because the experience just isn't good enough.

$20/month or so in parts still beats the pants off the $150/month I was spending on cigarettes, anyway :)

You sure its making a good contact to the tabs under the atomizer? Sounds like a bad connection to me. I use a qtip and turn it counterclockwise so i dont break those tabs to clean in there
