I ended up getting myself an eroll/emini kit that holds TWO pv's at a time and so far I love it.

Ok, so its a bit of a joke. Just fooling around. But it is nice to pick up both at the same time and never forget one since I carry both anyhow. Ill keep it like this for a bit. Just double sided sticky take for wall hangers. Yes it is thick, and a bit heavy, but its just for fun at this point.

The pipe screens aren't oxidized. I think when we torch the SS is when it is subjected to the issue. None the less these attys are very inexpensive but I live in the sticks so sometimes I have to make do until vape mail arrives. I will try to test out other wicks in the future and report back.

The second one gets hit with a lighter in the pipe, it oxidizes. Its really a matter of the quality of SS in my opinion than an issue with SS in general.

The are a couple of recent threads raising questions about the formation of Cr6 on ss at high temp. Cr6 is bad. It is well known to be produced when ss is welded. The question being posed is are we subjecting ss to sufficient temp to create it. no one has any facts yet to say we are, but one guy did a home test on a ss wick he subjected to high temp (brightly glowing) to oxidize and said he detected Cr6. He is sending to a lab to have it further tested.

High quality stainless usually doesnt contain hexavalent chromium, SS designed for ecigs should not be prone to giving off cr-6. If youre using stuff you shouldnt be as your wick, you could have an issue. Take into account people use SS pipe screens and have been for many many years

I myself am leaning toward safe still, however, your information is not on point to the issue.

All stainless steel, by definition contains chromium. At very high temperature some its converted from harmless forms to the more dangerous hexavalent form.

The question is at what temp, and do we reach that temp if oxidizing by blasting the mesh with a torch.

Pipe screens are perhaps not was equivalent because the temp may be moderated by adjacent material, and likely they are hit with torch for a shorter time. Additionally, evidence of harm in pipe smokers could be masked by the fact that if the got lung cancer, the tobacco itself would likely be blamed.

Myself, I still use ss mesh in my RBA, but don't torch it- just doing juice burns only and hoping that doesn't pass the magic temp threshold, which is perhaps 1300°F

Many others are saying they will quit ss until the risk is assessed. I am nit sure if as will work with the eroll with out torching.

This is all I will say on this thread cause I don't won't to hi jack our create undue concern. There are two active threads on the issue with a lot of information and speculation, if any one is concerned about the issue

Peace

Actually pipe smokers tend to clean their SS screen by burning off the buildup with direct flame, been that way for many many many years

If you are concerned, then why just worry about SS mesh? The atomizers themselves are made of SS, Kanthal wire is iron/chromium/aluminum and nichrome, if the name isnt obvious enough also contains chromium. Also you should probably warn people who use stainless steel cookware

As long as you arent grinding and welding your wick while vaping, or vaping at 1500+ degrees and melting the SS, its a bunch of hype.

Love it, but do you realy run through that much battery power. I am trying to find a narrow compartment to attach that would hold extra tanks and batteries.

No, I dont lol. I just found I was hauling them both around and fumbling though my pockets to find which one I wanted. Now that they are stuck together its easy lol.

But yeah, this isnt long term. Let me know when you find something good. The white one is heading to Louisiana as a gift to a friend of mine here in a couple weeks. I really really like the black one so much. Its a beauty :)

Both have the protective film on them still also. So I imagine separating them will just remove the film and they will look brand new again.

Your pic is great and I thought of the same thing. Joytech should offer this - minus the doubled sided tape lol
ps ordered more attys today (Hi VC LOL) and some 555 VG to mix.

Thats a gripe of mine, they could have made the pcc big enough to accomodate a few carts or built in bottle dropper. I imagine it in a perfect world all the time

Pop the tank off and drop it down the cone as close to the spike on the atomizer as you can. That's it.

Thanks. But then... how do you use all that flavor without burning it dry to go to the next? (If this is more appropriate for the New Members forum, I can ask there and totally understand!)

I can't bring myself to have issues with the PCC... Unless I took it apart. It is much smaller than an iPhone in comparisson. If the battery takes up the majority of PCC space, I am more than happy to figure out my juice refill situation. The eRoll vaporizer is top notch for super mini. The best actually.

BTW, the air intake hole on the battery can be utilized to preheat the atty for a very satisfying first draw. If you cover the hole for just ONE second, remove your finger from the hole, and continue your pull/drag, it preheats the atty and makes a very flavorful first inhale.

You are welcome to as ANY questions here, don't worry :).

Personally I wouldn't use the eRoll for dripping, but I think you could just try the next juice immediately, and a couple of puffs later it should take on that flavor. As long as the flavors aren't too powerful, like cinnamon or whatever.

Maybe someone else can chime in? I remember reading about it here earlier on in the thread.

The old flavors cook out pretty fast, but yes cinnamon took an entire cart to clear

I asked in another sub-forum but think I might get more responses here. Who currently has the best price on an e-roll starter kit? I'm not sure which color. Probably black or stainless. Is the stainless steel finish actually stainless steel or is some sort of silver paint ? Also does the black happen to be that nice rubber like black finish or is it like a smooth paint ?

.... You ssaaaiiiiid.... ;) (since there's no replies yet in the New Members forum, i'll just copy and paste what I've written there to here.)

Well, I finally have both my eRoll AND juices! Yay!

First impressions:

  • Why doesn't the starter kit come with another cone so you can have two complete units??? Of course, not sure I want 2 yet.
  • Lots of vapor, but seems to be of a different "quality" (not as in good or bad, just as in somehow different) than the Mistic I'm used to. I'm assuming Mistic uses PG juices tho, I'm using a VG/DW blend now.
  • Not much flavor I read to order extra flavor shots. I was a little hesitant since there's PG in Mt Baker's flavoring. I asked the Mt Baker rep how many extra shots I should get using an eRoll and 70 VG/30 DW. He said just 1.
  • Right now I'm vaping Blackberry. I ordered two shots on this. Hardly any flavor. What is there is a little ... weird. I mean, I guess I shouldn't expect it to taste like fresh freakin' blackberries! Covering one hole for a second does seem to intensify the flavor a bit, but still weak. No flavor detected at all with Apricot, which I only got 1 extra shot of.
  • Wow. Going through a lot of liquid very, very quickly. I now see why the small tank is a big deal.
  • I have poor vision. Glad I got a needle tip top for the flavor bottles for filling the tank. This makes it easy.
  • PCC took longer to charge than it said it would. Maybe it's a first time thing?
  • I like the look of the black one better. But I should have thought about the fact that I'd lose my head if it wasn't attached. I lose everything. Black blends into an awful lot of things. Something to consider. (It comes in white and maybe silver, too.)

Questions:
  • Advice on what to do about flavors? I need the taste of something besides chemically "tupperware air" in my mouth. Hellooooo, I'm used to a bazillion chemicals and burning things! (That might have something to do with it?)
  • Mt Baker says not to use Green Apple in plastic tanks. eRoll people say you can use any flavor, tho there might be some problems with juices with solids. Any experience here? (I asked in the tank crackers thread.)
  • OK to rinse needle tops out with just water when done filling tank?
  • When testing flavors (or lack thereof), you drip a "few" (3?) drops onto the spike of the atomizer. But how do you use all that flavor without burning it dry to go to the next?
  • Switching flavors in tanks - just rinse out with water?
  • What do ya'll use to keep your stuff in? In a month or two I'll need something that locks, since I might have a kid visiting now and then, and better safe than sorry. I at least need something cat-proof for now. For the extra pieces batteries, tanks, bottles, and 8 or so bottles I have of flavor. Shoe box with rubberbands or is there something more clever everyone loves to use?
  • I made a thread asking about alternatives to Ucans, will check to see if there's any responses. Seems to be hit or miss with leaks. I'd rather not spend that much money on something that might leak. And if some flavors can eat through a tank, I'm hesitant to trust a plastic bag for protection on any of them. [No new replies there]

I know I've read answers to some of these before. I'm going to go re-read the almost 200 pages on the e-roll now, and take better notes (copy and paste into Word ) (I have a terrible memory.)

Really bummed about flavor Wondering if I can buy concentrated flavor to add to these flavors or if that will even help....
