How did you dry them? It sounds like you werent wicking anything and maybe even they were still wet? I did leave mine to dry for a day maybe. You can use a needlenose to pull the tip of the atty off. I would try to do it by the two air holes rather than the post because you can nick it. You can clean gunk off the coil with a toothpick and make sure the wick looks ok. I wish you would try some other liquids, maybe they just arent a good match for this atty? I cant believe they are dirty so fast though.
I've been down the liquid rabbit hole far too many times. Pepper grossness, perfumy yucks, etc. Dekang, Halo and Vapor Station are just fine. Not a wicking issues as I always do the primer drops (Right?) but it is interesting you asked about drying. I blow out all the water, let them sit for say half an hour, blow out some more, prime and go. I bet you that's the issues. Not truly dry and getting that icky flavor cuz of it. I can't say the attys were dirty in the first place. I just cleaned them lol. Maybe I should not bother, or just buy new ones this time around? I will try that liquid you mentioned in PM on pay day though ;-) You know, it just dawned on me, maybe I should use a new tank too? Been using the same 2 since I got the kit (Friday I think).
