I usually tell people to not be afraid to spend too much on your first device. "buy your last device first".

I haven't tried the evic personally but it was a choice between this and Provari when I first looked for an upgrade from my starter kit. It was the simplicity and the build of the provari that convinced me. And I don't regret it. For me it's been this that kept me off analogue cigs.

Good luck and welcome to the forums :)

i actually own the eVic. I love the mod! If you buy it be sure to upgrade it to 1.3 right off the bat because the sleep timer gets to be annoying. It also has a tendency to turn itself of if jostled too much so that might be a battery issue. it says only use flat top batteries but a button top battery fits just fine and actually corrects the turning off issue when jostled and one other thing i would have bought with it is a charging bay for your extra batteries. :)

Ok, So I am looking at the E-Vic Starter kit. Is it really worth the price? Or should I just go with a Ego Twist? I am a noob, I am wanting to upgrade. Just would like to find out what everyone thinks out there. Thanks in advance.

What exactly are you upgrading from?

I will eventually get an ego twist as a backup but I just bought my very first pv is an evic. I received it on Saturday and ordered it late night Thursday. Priority shipping is fast and the price was the cheapest I found anywhere. If you decide on the evic, then send me a message so I can give you the vendor's info.

I have the basic ego kit. Came with clearmizer and battery. I have been using it for 2 months now (and not one analog since then!).

I am leaning towards it. But then I read also that people prefer the Provari, but just looking at my budget. I found one vendor that sells the eVic but it is open box, so they could upgrade the firmware. (Not sure about getting an open boxed system.) Would rather do the upgrading myself.

I'm new and just ordered an eVic myself. For the price ($60) I couldn't pass on it. I'm sure it will be a great device and hopefully I'll have no desire to get anything different for a long time. I already have my hands full trying to figure out all the cartos, clearos and other trinkets and bobbles not to mention the juices.

Wow, $60? Where did you find it for that price? That is a very good price.

I own a Evic that cost me $68 with shipping at ValueVapor.Com. Overalll great product. I was using a Ego twist before the Evic not much of an upgrade but still go higher than 4.8 volts. If u can get an Evic for cheap it will be a good upgrade but i wouldnt spend much on it. I spent only 20 bucks cause i sold my Ego Twists. If u are tech savy like info bout puffing count/left, longer battery life and firmware upgrades do it...but i realize i didnt need to upgrade to a Evic from a Twist but i paid only 20 so im happy...

I just got the eVic and I am loving it. I upgraded from the eGo battery/Kanger BCC (and Vivi Nova) setups. I like my flavors strong and with the eVic I can warm them up and it really brings out the flavor. I was just charging my eVic earlier and had to use the eGo and boy was there a difference for me.

I don't know enough about the twist to comment but I can say that my husband just tried my eVic and now he wants one too. It gives more vapor and I find it's a much smoother vape but that's my opinon.

Just a thought, but do you have a brick/mortar shop where you can try different options out? That might be the first way to go - you can try several and then make up your mind.

I own a eVic and I just love it as well! I agree with IMEDICx90 up grade it to the 1.3 right out of the box and you can get extra batteries for it on Amazon for $3.50 each plus an additional wall charger on Amazon for the batteries only for $5.50! I like it cause to me its simple to use and dosen't let you go past a certain unsafe voltage based on your atty, which gives me peace of mind as I heard about a guy in Austin TX a while back that had an e-cig blow up in his face because he was using too high of voltage with incompatable parts yikes! The eVic vapes like a king and looks fantastic with the Kangertech Protank! I also like that you can use the usb cable to charge to the wall, and use as a pass-through on your pc. Also pic up a cheap usb car charger adapter and then you can take it on long trips! Its very durable and I've dropped it many times and works perfectly. I also like that the base is smooth, so if you want to add sticker wraps to change its look, it will look great! Oh and my guy friends say it looks like a light sabre! I'm a jedi vaper! lol

I started with an ordinary eGo and upgraded to a Twist and though "WOW what a better vaping experience" but battery life was not what I expected. Then I upgraded to an eVic. The difference was like Night and Day! Vaping is consistant through out the day, by using VW instead of VV i don't have to fiddle with it when i change tanks, and the battery lasts me two full days. It was worth every penny! :vapor:

I started with 2 Spinners and was on them for a few weeks before I decided that i was now a vaper and needed something more solid and something that would last me more than a few months. I got my eVic exactly a month ago, and I dont regret it one bit. As soon as I got it I updated to V1.3 and am now waiting on V2.

Besides that, I have about 10 Evods and bought a bulk of coils.

Liquid is all i spend on and i like it like that.

I have an eVic. I put it together over 2 months buying all the parts separately. It's excellent. (Cost me about $90)

Am I vaping on it right now? No, I'm typing this using a $25 Spinner.
However, I think all long-term vapers should own something along these lines. It takes a lot of stress off my eGo/Spinner batteries and lasts 3 days or so, so owning it makes my life easier; I wouldn't be without it. There are lots of similar things out there...they all do the same thing.
