Have you ever ordered from them before? Are they dependable? I'm a bit concerned about ordering from China.
This is my first order with this particular company, but I order from China all the time. It can take a while to get your order but I have never had a problem with quality and packaging is always very, very secure. They love their bubble wrap and tape, lol! :)

Got this little thing about 2 weeks ago.. nice mod, descent battery life, awesome tank/pod capacity, but the coils... Eh....

The .6 seems to have better flavor, but is too tight of a draw for me for the most part..

The .25 has a great draw , but as with the .6, they are very flavorless coils..

I have 3 juices that are very very flavorful, as well as more than likely have alot of sweetener, that I can barely even recognize in this pod..

If I could get alot of flavor out of it, it could possibly be my go to, all day setup, but a very blah, dry, vape after being on a cleito 120, BBB, or even the smok spiral tank, for the past 6 months isn't doing it for me
How high is your VG level? I am getting excellent flavor and vapor out of both coil. If you have a lot of added sweetener in your juice your coil could be getting gunky quickly, so maybe that's why?

I too love my Penguin. I started with the .6 coil with a coffee flavor. It's not bad flovorwise. When I got an extra cartridge, I tried the .2 coil in it with a Blueberry juice. Wow! Very flavorful! I read somewhere that fruit flavors do better with this system. I will be curious on how long the coils last (how many mls through them) before they are done? I also love how lightweight the Penguin is. It's great for my arthritic wrists.
I've been on the .6 ohm coil for a good 3 weeks now and it's still going strong. When I get my replacement coils I will probably try to wash the .6 ohm one just to see what happens. I would have done that with the .25 coil if I hadn't burned it out, lol! Definitely not going to try dry burning them. :D

Well , to give a bit more info, after seeing what jingles wrote. It depends on what kind of vape person you are.. I'm used to 60-160 watt sub ohm tanks and trying to get into rta's , where flavor is much higher than a pod system or a 10 watt tank others may be used to. ( Jingles :) )

I have used a 50/50 tobacco ( five pawns, black note ) as well as a 65vg/35pg very flavorful raspberry / blueberry and honestly. Don't get much of anything
I am a flavor chaser as well. I use ceramic or ceramic hybrid coils almost exclusively, with the exception of the Baby Beast and I get pretty comparable flavor from the Penguin coils. I vape at around 26-35 watts, though. I like a little bit of a cooler vape than the higher wattages supply so I can see where this mod would be a downgrade in performance from what you're used to. I am a strictly DL vaper, so vaping on the .6 coil is a lot more work than I'm used to, but I like it! :D

Very well designed mod, especially the tank system. I tried the 0.6Ω but got dry hits for some reason. The 0.25Ω coils work very well for me. The only issue I have is that when fully charged, I find it too strong. Once the battery gets down to 3 lights it's perfect for me. Actually, using an unregulated mod seems like a giant step backwards. If they could somehow regulate the voltage down to say 3.6v and keep it there this would be perfect IMO. Gonna try another 0.6Ω coil to see if it was just a bad coil.

Is it safe to say the jury is still out? I know this unit has piqued my interest.
I really do like this system a whole lot more than I expected to. It seems like a step backward in technology (at least that was what I had in my mind before I tried it), but I am in love with the flavor and clouds it produces, and it's absolutely the most portable mod I own. I've never had it fire accidentally when traveling with it and it doesn't leak. It's also super light. For me, the 2 coils act exactly like they say; the .6 ohm is great for MTL (though i am still able to DL vape with it) and the .25 ohm coil is nice and airy, perfect for DL vaping. Battery life is much better than I expected (about a day of use, but I vape on other mods throughout the day as well) and it charges very quickly with a 2a charger. If you're curious, I say go for it! :)

Question about charging. Never had a device with integrated batteries. Can this be charged with a standard usb style cell phone charger?

Funny you should ask, I didn't even think about it, but I'm using the micro usb that fits most of my pod mods ect, except the Phix which has it's own charging cord. So yes to your question ☺

Yes, and you can use a 2 amp quick charger for faster charging. i use a regular micro USB cord and a 2 amp wall wart. :)

Question... I accidentally burnt 0.2 coil last night. I had it in my vape bag and the fire button was continuously pressed. (I know I should have turned the Penguin off). So, I replaced the coil with a 0.6 coil because that was all I had. I let it sit for a few minutes before vaping it. It still tastes burnt! Yuck! Is there anything inside the cartridge itself that I could have burnt originally. Or did I just burn out another coil? Do I need to replace the whole cartridge? Luckily, I do have one other cartridge to use with my penguin.

Hi Dennis, just my 2cents....
I'm liking the penguin a lot, but just haven't quite found that sweet spot yet with juice flavor and nic strength. I'm used to using nic salts in my pods so I prefer higher strength. But I knew that its not recommended to use high strength with the coils in the penguin. I bought a LOW strength (3mg) at my corner vape shop (in store "brew") and wanted to try a mango taste... Its nasty, but juice is subjective.
Loving the battery and vapor though!
