Hi there,

I purchased a joyetech eGo-C about three or four weeks ago and love it, haven't touched a cigarette since. But I am having constant issues with it and can't figure out why, as far as I know I am doing everything correctly. I do not vape 24/7, but use it often. It's not attached to my mouth in other words.

What's happening is that I am constantly, almost every time I vape having to re-prime the ecig (taking draws on the ecig without holding the button - to pull liquid into the atty) But it never lasts long. After about 8 or so pulls I'll have to re-prime it again. When I do re-prime it, it works well and there is no issues.

It's getting frustrating because I have 2 of these units and have the same issue on both of them. I doubt that both attys are going on me as I have 2 units and switch between them. It doesn't matter what type of juice I use either (I have 2 kinds) it still happens.

Any advice? I just want to be able to take this thing out with me and not have to worry about priming it 10 times throughout a night.

Thanks very much

Well, I believe that's the thing with using attys...you only get about 8 puffs before you have to drip again, that's why so many people prefer the cartomizers or clearomizers. You can put juice in and vape for awhile without having to constantly add juice. The 'down side,' from what I hear, is the flavor isn't the same as when you drip. (Disclaimer:I've never been a dripper because I didn't want to have to carry a bottle of juice with me everywhere, so I'm no expert on dripping)

When it comes time to buy more atomizers, look into the stardusts instead. They're the same price, look great on your ego, and are fiddle-free. When I bought a 5-pack of C atomizers, I added a couple of stardusts as well. Now I'm kicking myself in the behind for ordering the atties because they cost $25 and they're just gathering dust.

Hi,

I have found that the replacement soft caps for the tank wick better. However they are prone to tearing up as you take then off. So I would fill with a syringe or needle bottle. Just remove the cap when its time to clean. But the caps are cheap if you do tear one.

Also I always leave my eGo C vertical between vapes. Let gravity keep the liquid on the wick.

It sounds like your cartomizer have never been cleaned.
you need to clean them every week, in order to avoid the burnt taste your getting from residual dry juice.

Rinse them for 1/2 hour in alcohol 70% strength ,and wipe them with a soft towel, and let them dry 24 hours.
After ,prime some juice, connect the tank, and bon voyage for another burnt less week.

OCDP, some great advice has already been given. I have the same kit as you and have not had this problem yet. A couple of other things came to mind.

You didn't mention if you had cleaned or replaced the attys yet. If not, try replacing one and see if this helps. I find so far attys last me about 1 - 2 weeks if I clean them before they get too bad, which means every 4 or 5 days for me. If this is the issue, you would probably have noticed this problem getting worse over time.

The other thing is that the eGo-C needs to be kept battery end down when puffing. In other words, when you take a drag, keep the far end of the eGo lower than the mouthpiece end. If this is your issue, I think you would have noticed this problem more or less from the beginning.

Don't give up hope, there is a solution! Welcome to ECF.

Clean your attys is my advice. I own the ego-c as well and use it daily. If I'm having this problem I just switch to a clean atty head and it solves the problem.

I had this exact problem last night. Freshly charged battery yet I was getting weak vapor, bad taste and had to keep priming it, so I put a cleaned atty on and it fixed it 100%. In 2+ months of owning this device I have 4 of the 5 atty heads I keep in rotation. All of them still work great, I just need to stay on top of keeping them clean. I just let them soak in close to boiling water for a bit. Then I pop the spike top off the atty, put it on the battery and do a few dry burns so that the coil turns fully red (be careful if you do this, could burn out your atty, do a few 3-5 second bursts) and that cleans the carbon and anything else off of it. Put the spike back on and throw it in my box-o-vape stuff.

This is what I do. Everyone does it their own way, so good luck in finding your own way to get the most out of your gear.

When you drip you get the best flavor there is at least in my opinion there is nothing better then a drip tip nothing can get in the way of the drag the problem with dripping is that its mostly for home use cause it is a bit of a pain you now 3 drops 5 drags 3 drops 5 drags etc so it really is a pain I find with the ego-c I have to prime when I vape fast or take whats called a hard drag it seems to wick best when you take long slow drags and give it a few seconds before the next drag allowing the wick to catch up.I recently took a lighter to my atty to try and burn the wick a little in hopes it would wick better like I used to do in the old ego attys when I cleaned it not sure if it helped at all still have to prime as the poster does I think it's a normal thing with these attys but then again mine is still in the break-in period I have only been using it a couple days so as the wick gets more used it may work better. I am waiting for the ego-w cartimizer right now in hopes its better then the 510 cartimizers I have tried and that it works better then the ego tanks the ego-w looks very interesting and looks like it holds much more liquid then the ego tanks these ego-w may be the answer I am looking for.
