Tried it a few days ago and forgot to post on here. It is a kind of bitter taste. It honestly tastes like "Green", the color green. That's the best way to describe it. When you look at Kale and you assume what it tastes like: That's what it tastes like. It wasn't horrible though.

If you like carrot juice....in many areas you can ask at the supermarket for horse carrots. Those are the less-than-perfect carrots that don't get put out on display. They have cracks or funny shapes but are perfectly good. I usually buy a 25 lb bag for about $8.

I just got off a huge juice cleanse.
I lost 20 lbs or so, mostly green juices.
I will say before careful, I've done it a few times, but made the mistake of flushing my system too quickly.drinking, parties, and crap food stuffed up my body, and I juiced beets daily. They flush your kidneys better than anything, but cleanse too fast and you will get a kidney stone.
Don't juice beets too often, or Other strong flushing antioxidants.
Otherwise juice rules
Oh good info! Umm - in a pinch, could canned beets be used or is there too much sodium? I generally go for frozen before canned but ...
Is there a book or website you would recommend to reaf up on what is considered "strong"?
With wheat, dairy & egg white allergies, some days the only word to describe how I feel is "toxic". I've been thinking it would be a good way to quick use up mom's over-purchased produce. Just never occurred to me to toss in the green leafy's.
The last time I used the Vita Mix was to grind some alfalfa cubes for an older horse!
