Juice Color Changed

This is a strange one....

I've seen my juice get darker and more brownish/gold over time, but I haven't seen one go clear - until now.

I have a bottle of High Caliber "Watermelon Mist" that I've been using and loving. It's a clear liquid consisting of peppermint and watermelon flavors. I decided to "juice it up a bit" and added some plain Watermelon from Gourmet Vapor which is bright pink. Of course it turned my Watermelon Mist juice pink as well, and the carto batting was very pink. Three days later I just picked up the bottle to refill my cartomizer and it's crystal clear again. I thought it had all spilled out or that I had picked up the wrong bottle because there was no hot pink liquid in there any longer.

WTF???

I just looked inside the carto which had pink batting before and it's only slightly pink now.

Have any of you ever seen this happen before?

Never seen this per se, but its not completely surprising. Coloration can occur for a number of reasons. Oxides of nic can form, but these will tend to remain even if the juice is diluted. Nic can also form colored "complexes" with flavor compounds, which are from a weak interaction, not an actual reaction, like that which forms oxides of nic. If these form, dilution can reverse the complex formation, and the color will lessen or go away. Regardless, I do not think it is something to worry about.

I use atomic cinnacide from Tasty Vapor. When I receive a new batch it is all a lite color. Within a couple of months the new bottles that have not been opened turn a dark brown color. I have asked Tasty Vapor about this but they said they have never seen this. I don't see how it affects the flavor but was wondering if anybody else has had this happen.
