Hi,
I've been vaping for a couple months now and haven't had a real cig since trying my first disposable e cig. I am using an eGo, 901 and 510 passthrough. I was curious about the CE2 cartos so I bought a box of RoyalSmokers (2.4 - 2.6 ohms). The problem I'm having with my eGo and 510 passthrough is that quite often when I take a drag I get e juice in my mouth. Mostly just on my lips. This started after I had been vaping with them for awhile so the cartos weren't completely full. I also hear gurgling when I take a drag. I should also mention that the same thing happens with my 901 with a 901 to 510 adapter. I haven't made a modifications to the CE2 cartos so is the problem leaky CE2s or something else?

Also, I was wondering if anybody knows how much voltage a USB port puts out because when I use the CE2 with my 510 passthrough, the vapor in my mouth is very warm and the flavor tastes burnt. I can't imagine a USB port putting out more than 3.7 volts but that would explain the burnt taste.

The USB on your computer is approximately 5V, but that all depends on how many other things that draw power are also using them. I wouldn't suggest using the ports on your computer for your PT. I would use This, instead. You'll get more consistent results and won't be risking your computer.

Are you sure that your PT is a 3.7V and not a 5V?

The ce2s I tried were finicky. If you have a drip tip, remove the standard "stopper/mouthpiece" and replace it with the drip tip; helped me a lot, as I was getting the same thing, juice almost spitting into my mouth. Also try slower draws when you hear the "gurgling". I most commonly get gurgling from overfilling but sometimes just setting my ego down on its side will produce the same effect. In this case remove the carto and lightly blow it out then put it back on the battery.

My PT didn't indicated the voltage so I measured the output of the battery and it was almost 5 volts. That would explain the burnt taste because the recommended voltage for the CE2 is 3.7 volts or less and this probably explains the juice in my mouth also. When I use a regular 510 atti with a cartridge it works great. Good flavor & lots of vapor.

So then why is my 3.7 volt eGo, which is less then half full of juice, shooting juice in my mouth no matter how slow I draw on it?

sounds like what i call "spitting" ... when the coil gets hot, the juice kind of pops and juice comes shooting at you.. i hate that.
I've gotten that from some 510's... dont really know why or how that happens.

Fortunately it doesn't happen a lot... and that i have a Provari, so i can adjust the voltage to the atty too.

No, it isn't normal to get juice in your mouth. What little condensation that builds up should stay in the mouth piece or cartomizer wall. If you are getting juice in your mouth it's not condensation but caused by other problems such as over filling. I'm not an expert on this problem but I've learned alot from starting this thread.

we are actually INHALING the juice in vapor form, but the volume of juice in vapor form is miniscule compared to even a single drop on your tongue or lips where the nicotine and flavor are absorbed by direct contact with your mucus membranes. Drinking the juice would be a MUCH stronger equivelant to chewing tobacco and swallowing your spit. YUCK!!
