Some vendors do carry a Beer flavor, that I've never tried, simply because I'd rather drink the stuff...

A nice East Kent Goldings, or Fuggles flavor would be nice but I'm not sure how you could extract the flavor for an e-liquid. Hops flavorings are a complex blend of water soluble and alcohol soluble chemicals that change their flavor profile from heating during the brewing process.

If there was a way for a flavoring company to make an artificial "hops" flavor we would be seeing it being used in cheap beer, the real thing is the only way to go, and extracting it for vaping might just be on par with trying to get a real tobacco flavor...:)

Ohhh I am interested in that too. Mmmm a nice hop juice with an IPA = priceless.

I might steep some vg with hops next home brew batch and vape. Probably next weekend :) one keg is low.

Might be a winner with the homebrewer community :)

Stay away from Cascade hops if you try that, citris juices are notorious for cracking tanks and Cascade is nothing but grapefruit flavor...:laugh:

You can get hop extract from brewing supply companies.

Good idea, but how it's extracted would make a big difference. Does it have more alpha-acids, beta-acids or hop oils, the hop oils would seem to be the flavor component we would be looking for to use in DIY. Dissolved into PGA at a low level might just work....:toast:

I found a manufacturers site, looks like you can get the acids or oils or a mix of the 2. Stabilized Hop Extracts: Product Overview | Kalsec Inc.

Those of you who brew beer are probably familiar with "dry hopping". You can put dry hops in the secondary fermenter and let them steep for a few days to get a good hop flavor without much bitterness. The beer doesn't need to be very strong for this to work, so I assume a lot of the flavor is water soluble. I expect you'd get similar results steeping hops in PG. Don't add too much - dry hops expand a lot when they get wet.

I'm familiar with "dry hopping", but besides the water in the beer, there's at least some alcohol and also CO2 in solution.
In reading on some of the hop extractions for sale they mention CO2 being used..(not sure how, what their process is). The chemists barely understand how hops work in beer, in vaping not at all at this point...:)

After around 5 ipas I feel like I have juice with hops. I try to do this daily. The drummer in my band brews 3 different IPAs at all times constantly experimenting with the process, especially the dry hopping part. I can pick up some raw hops tomorrow at practice maybe I will experiment, and ask him what he thinks about it. I think a sweet calvera, or even a sierra nevada pale juice would be nice. If you find something please share.
