Standard Recipe I Mix:

"Pineapple Puff"

PA 8% pineapple

vanilla flavor 4%

menthol 3%

---

I'm using a cleromizer. I'm almost questioning if this clearomizer is the right Ohms, but with other juice it seems to be fine at higher volts.

The juice in question is about 25ml bottle

I changed it up a little. Instead of the pineapple flavor, I used a pineapple juice I bought a while back for the pineapple flavor as an experiment. At first it tasted OK. Needed a little more. Added regular pineapple flavoring. The reason I used pineapple juice( actual e-cigg juice I bought, NOT pineapple juice for drinking) is because it was mixed so over flavored I couldn't even vape it anyways.

I added double clear chocolate flavoring as well. That was nice, had a good undertone to it.

I tend to mix my VG/PG ratio about 30/70.

The pineapple wasn't to flavor right so I would add about 10 drops. Stop. Vape, try it.

The pineapple juice I used to mix it with was 80PG/20VG and also seemed to be mixed with "thinning" agents.

The problem I started to have and still have is that the flavor will get to be spot on, but I can barely vape it. I use VV box mod. I can't dial up the juice! If I get over 4 volts its starts this burny, back of your throat not so pleasant sensation going on.

Basically it went like this back and forth about 3 times then I stopped because I didn't want to over-do flavor:

Add 10 drops pineapple
Tastes good, not vaping right
Add 15 drops VG
Kinda kills pineapple no chocolate flavor +10 of each
Kills throat again.

After this I decided to add more VG figuring that would help it from being so "harsh". Now, there's a slight flavor. Not bad, it's okay, vapeable, but not as strong as I like. Adding more VG just hasn't worked. I'm not sure what to do with it at this point. I'm still dealing with the "back of your throat" nastiness if I dare turn up the vape.

Sorry for this being so long! If there's anything confusing please just ask me to clarify.

Anything I can do to save this juice?? Right now the pineapple flavor is barley there and its mostly a muted sweet note. Hint of pineapple, hint of chocolate, but not really "there" and I can't turn up the volts at all. Vaping around 3.0-3.7 because thats all I can do with it.

For me, the symptoms seem to fit sensitivity to alcohol-based flavorings, but many people don't seem to have that problem, and it would probably be difficult to know if there is any of it in there.

It seems to me that there is something that you are sensitive to in that pineapple e-liquid, in any case.

I'd either add it in smaller quantities until its used up (as a filler and liqht flavoring,) along with proper flavorings, or I'd give it to someone else to try.

Thanks Lucent.

I actually really like the pineapple flavor. It doesn't seem to be the flavor bothering me. It's as if the "burn" point is too low?? I'll take a vape of the juice and it just gets extremely harsh if the volt is too high(only at 4 volts). No flavor at all, just a burning sort of sensation.

Some liquids have different "ideal watts". One will taste burnt at 7 watts, another can be pushed to 10. How's vapour production at sub-4v?

I use volts? Never used the ego twist. I use a VV mod. 4 volts, it's burning. This juice normally is fine at higher volts. I'm suspecting it's the vendor made pineapple juice giving it an issue. Hoping Cookster's advice may solve the puzzle, but if you or anybody else has some words of wisdom I'm open to hearing them!

Sounds like over flavoring, and the pineapple and chocolate cancelling each other out. Try diluting it down with some unflavored base if you have it.

So I tried this....but it really hasn't helped as of yet. I used about half of the juice i made and half VG, with a little PG. Still giving that harsh burn. :/

Ok, have you tried the mixture in a different clearo or carto? Also, I'm thinking the vendor juice has something in it with a low tolerance of high voltage, mebbe sweetener or alcohol. That's the trouble with vendor juice, you don't know what's in it...

Bah. Bah Humbug. Unfortunately.... I only have one cleromizer left so I can't sacrifice it to juice whoopsies(i'm like... a new level of poor right now). I could try a Boge carto... roar... I think I may just have to make a new bottle of juice and add a little of this stuff untill its gone.

Okay, looks like it must of been the clero *breathes into paper bag*

I tried the clero on a different mod where it was easier for me to judge the volts. Even at 2.... there was burning. Had to switch the clero. Less issues with the juice now. Silver lining I haven't wasted a bunch of nic and flavoring after-all.

Thanks all for your advice. If this happens again, I'll keep your words in mind.
