Hey ECF, been mixing for about 6 months now and love it. Last week I ordered 4oz of Dragonfruit, and 4oz Pineapple, and 1oz sweetener from TFA. Mixed up a batch of Dragonfruit and im in love. So I decided to try the pineapple. DISGUSTING. I always mix at 12-15% so I made a batch of 50/50 12mg pineapple with 10 drops of sweetener. Took a puff and it burned my tongue and there was no throat hit. Tasted foul. Made a second batch suspecting I put too much sweetener in. Same result. Made a third batch at 7% with 5 drops of sweetener, now this time the flavor wasn't over powering, but it still gave my tongue a burning sensation, and there was no throat hit. Anyone have experience with this problem or this flavor?? Im pretty upset as my store carrys pineapple and it is my favorite flavor to vape. Now that I have tried it on my own im very disappointed. Whats going wrong here???

I've not actually made any DIY pineapple, it's about one of the only fruit concentrates I haven't got round to buying yet. I have noticed that I need to steep pre-mixed pineapple for at least 3 weeks though for the full flavour to come out. Don't know if it helps at all.

Ill try steeping the flavor alone as well as the 2 batches I made for 2-4 weeks and see what happens.

yes it is the TFA pineapple. Id be up to trying those but its that I bought 4oz of it. Stupid me. Everyone says TFA has great flavors and ive gotten great flavors from them before but this one makes me not want to shop there again. I bought it based on a review I read on the pineapple...

Is it TFA Pineapple? I don't like that one at all. I have read good things about Capella Golden Pineapple and Hangsen Pineapple, both of them I have but haven't mixed yet.

I have both and the Capella Pineapple had no flavor maybe I got a bad bottle. The Hangsen Pineapple I'm vaping right now and it is really good.

Seems like too much flavor and too much sweetener. With TFA flavors I usually start at 3% and go up if needed except tobacco flavors which I mix at 2-3%. Only few TFA flavors call for anything above 5%. Also as was mentioned above steeping does the magic. 3-4 weeks for fruits. Tobaccos 4-5 weeks, only menthol is good after 7 days.

Ooof, the flaming pineapple, I remember that one. Steep it, then mix up some unfavored in the nic you like and knock it down to around 5% flavor, then steep it again and add on, maybe two drops of sucralose, not EM, to the final, it gets decent and quits that mouth on fire thing. I prefer it with either cream or french toast mixed in myself but, it is okay after it steeps if it isn't too strong on the flavor.

Whatever you do, don't add lemon juice or vinegar, or any other acidic flavor to it - that lights that burn right back up in the stuff. Good for vaper's tongue, at least you feel it, even if you don't really taste it but, ouch. :(

I find with TFA flavor they start out really strong and need to steep a while to mellow. I think 4 - 6% works. Some strong fruits are better at 3 - 4 %. The ones that smell like chemical or like alcohol take the longest to steep. Those can take up to 4 weeks but once fully steeped they are very good and the chemical/alcohol smell and taste are gone.
