So I ask you guys this to see if (1) anyone else has experienced this and maybe figured out what the issue was....Any help or advice you can offer would be much appreciated!

Grace,

I feel your pain - not from VV, but from many other vendors. I never smoked, and I smoke 0mg juices simply for portable flavor and puffy clouds. What intrigued me the most when I first started vaping were the bakery or gourmet flavors (creams, cakes, maples, caramels, brown sugars, etc). I STILL have not found a source of ejuice that contains any of those flavor profiles that doesn't have the plastic-y, chemical aftertaste. They SMELL amazing....but TASTE disgusting. It's a complete bummer because I WANT to find that perfect balance, and I am sure (read: hoping) that it's out there.

Honestly, after trying a few dozen flavors (Halo, Highbrow, Sycodrops, and several others) the ONLY company I found that I can vape without hoping that the next puff will taste better, and more spot on than the last is FlavorZ by Joe. Specifically, the "Poppa" and "Strawberry Banana Smoothie" flavors. Granted, they are not the Bakery profiles I mentioned above, they BOTH have a hint of cream that round out each vape very nicely. There's NEVER been an aftertaste and each hit is consistent.

No other brand has done this for me, and this brand has TWO that I love - so they are doing something right, or "different" for that matter. Interstingly enough, I tried their pear/peach/brown sugar combo flavor, and something about the brown sugar tasted off to me. Not BAD, but off enough to make me not like it as much. Perhaps im destined to not like any caramel-y, brown sugary, maple-y anything - hah.

I also realize that 0mg may change the profile a bit, but I refuse to use any nic, so that's the situation i'm stuck in.

On a different note, any straight cinnamon flavor that I buy anywhere is absolutely amazing, and I can't put it down - no aftertaste - ever - from any brand.

If I had the time (or if anyone does) a good way to narrow this flavor chasing obsession down may be to find retailers who claim that their ejuices contain no "XX" or "yyy" and see which abcesnce makes the falvors taste better. Not that xx or yy are bad, but they may make them taste different to certain veeople (vaping people - there, I just coined & copyrighted that term!!! lol).

Ok, there's my rant,

Later,

Matt!

This concerns me. About a year ago I'd ordered some VV juice and it was excellent. Haven't been back in a long time, been kinda distracted by other vendors. Now I'm afraid to try again. they never used to have this plasticy problem AFAIK.

If it makes you feel a little more comfortable, my last order in December tasted exactly the same as my first order in May of last year. I think it's a taste thing. They do have a very unique base flavor.

same here, i ordered from them like 1- 1/2 years ago and also maybe 6 months ago both the same weird taste. also both times they steeped and steeped and steeped, didn't help. thinking of a previous post, maybe it did have something to do with the rubber stopper in the bottles because that's what mine tasted like, seriously!

I really don't think so. I pulled out the last little bit of Organic Turkish Coffee and Kona Velvet Milkshake yesterday and filled a tank. The flavor takes me right back to the first time I tried them (in December, maybe it was earlier?). Very distinct, not like anything else I've tasted. But I didn't get a rubber flavor at all.

Moving to reviews.

But really, if you have an issue as the thread title states you should contact the vendor.

Hi Caridwen,

Sorry, been away for a couple of days. I apologize if I miscategorized my original post.
I didn't feel this was a review because my review for all of them would be bad for the same reason -- which is unfair. But just as I was about to purchase more juice from a different vendor -- I just got a bit nervous that perhaps what so many people call "good" is really all bad to me, haha. Just was trying to make sure there's more than just little ol' me claiming there's this stench.

Thanks for slotting it where it belongs!

@Zero7: I don't know what to say.
Since my original post, I tried three of the many bottles that didn't appear to have an overwhelming amount of stench. I was wrong about one of them, haha -- and Original Sin and Plum Crazy are somewhat better. I don't like them yet, but they are vapeable, whereas before, I couldn't even stand to be close to the open bottles.
And many of the posters here appear to agree that these bottles are like fine wine, haha.

I gave one of the bottles to a friend of mine to try -- the Honeydew, which was the one I wanted most. He said he'd pass it around his office to see if anyone knows what's up.

Just an update.
After reading that some of you had also tasted this bizarre taste, I went ahead and ordered from Mt. Baker. The shipping was extraordinarily fast -- I ordered at 6pm one night and the next morning, I was notified it shipped out. Wow. Two days later, it was here in CA.

I'll post reviews for them in a different post, but suffice to say....I LOVE, I LOVE, I LOVE!!!!

Well, you can post about a vendor, you can't start a thread to simply bash a vendor. It's unfair to them as they aren't allowed to reply except in their own thread or in Negative Reviews. You probably wouldn't like it if you sold a product that people were posting negative things about and you couldn't respond. They don't either.

Best bet is to always first contact the supplier either by email/phone/their forum or thread. If no 'meeting of the minds', post in negative reviews about a negative transaction. If you simply don't like it, that's the way it goes with e-liquids. We've all been there.

It's funny, I find MBV to include my very favorites as well. Try Moo-Juice and Blue Moo, they are two of my favorite. Although I never was into menthol I do like myself some Thug Juice as well. Just ordered 50Ml of each today (along with some Hawk Sauce).

Hi all-a couple things...

First off: Virgin Vapor has reported on ECF etc that they discovered their "Contact us" button on their website was not working for awhile. It is now up and working and they are asking if anyone contacted them recently with no reply to PLEASE contact them again.

Virgin Vapors is one of my favorite vendors LOL. It is soo surprising to me how people can have such opposite tastes in eliquids!! What I finally discovered with trying around 40 vendors to date is, find someone on here that has similar tastes as you do, and exchange favorite vendors-it will save you a ton of time and money!!! Some of the vendors that multiple people have raved about-I find un-vapeable. While others make me go OMG and other dont get it.

With that said, my favorite vendors have been in the following order: Virgin Vapors, Free State Vapor, Velvet Cloud Vapor, Lick Brand. So if your not a VV fan these others may not appeal to you. I also recently was reading something that clicked for me-the after taste that I found so unappealing wiith many vendors was some sort of sweetener. Virgin Vapors does not use artificial sweeteners so if you prefer something "candy" sweet, that may be why VV doesnt appeal to you. Just my two cents.
