Juice kicking up on my Drip Tip! Help!

Trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong, or if it's a normal issue- Just about every time I take my first couple draws on my eGo with Delrin Drip-Tip, I get a bit of juice that kicks up onto my lips or tongue. I've tried cleaning and drying my drip-tip- That's not the problem. Tried taking my first few draws with the corner of my lips, but It still happens. Tried taking a realllllly light draw and It often still happens. I don't think I'm flooding anything- Happens with only two small drips. Also happens on LR and Regular resistance. What am I doing wrong?

When you drip juice into your drip tip, do you blow into it? You should be able to hear the liquid drop from the drip tip into your atty. I'm using a regular length metal drip tip from Totally Wicked, and when i blow into it, if the juice is stuck in there, the sound of the air blowing into the drip tip is high pitched, then suddenly drops in pitch when the liquid exits through the bottom of the drip tip, much like blowing across the mouth of a bottle full of water, and one without water.

Kind of an odd way to explain it, but I hope this resolves your problem.

Also try dripping with the drip tip off, and replacing it after adding the drops, and see if it still happens. It should only be that liquid is stuck in the drip tip and you're sucking it back up.

Haven't been blowing into my tip for fear of blowing juice out the bottom/leaking. Is that the proper method? I dont think I hear any difference, but I'll keep an ear out for it. Seems to happen VG/PG/Thick/Thin. It's also fine when I pull the tip off and drip the atty directly, but that kinda defeats the purpose of my drip tip!

I get the juice sometimes. But, I try to make a habit of giving the PV a couple taps on a table or other solid surface with the tip straight up. It does seem to help. As does a light puff, blowing the juice down. Nearly all of my tips are delrin. I'm one of the folks who isn't wild about the metallic ones.

I usually blow into it with my lips sealed around it. Just a tiny short blast. This forced the liquid out of the tip and down into the atty. However, if there is already juice in the atty, it gets forced out the battery connector. So regular wiping is required.

I've also tried blowing into it without closing my lips around it...sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But at least it doesn't make as much of a mess.

Hey Guys- Thanks everyone for your responses- I've gotter going great now. I've been blowing into the tip for a day or so now, and its 100% better. Think I've got the technique down now too. Midnight- You're totally right about the pitch of the whistle changing. I thought you were crazy when i read it but I TOTALLY hear it now. Can't Un-Hear it. thanks so much!
