Juice lifespan?

I've been vaping for about three months now and find myself wondering about the lifespan of my less frequently used juice

Do eliquids go bad after several months or do they continue to steep?

also is there any harm in letting a tank set with juice for a week, or should I keep the tanks washed out till the mood hits?

thanks for the insights, don't want to mess up my new gear w gumming issues

I have read that juice can last 6 months and I have read it can last year. I personally wouldn't keep juice over 6 months. I have left juice in both a carto tank and a Vivi Nova. Nothing happened to either tank, but it did leak alittle out of the Nova.

I have some bottles that say "best if used within 1 year"....I hope it lasts that long or else ill be throwing out a lot of juice

Juice gets better and better with age.
Unless it's crap stock.

I've heard as long as 2 yrs but I don't think I'd try that long. 6 months and it will go in the trash. If it's been that long then I probably don't like it anyway. If using cinamon or acidic juices I wouldn't leave then in a plastic tank as they eat them up but in glass tanks you'll be ok.

I would add that, I believe natural and organic juices, such as Virgin Vapor and Dripeez, would have a shorter shelf life.

It really is not true. Nicotine degrades and flavors degrade. Eliquid is nothing like wine.

The point of steeping is to not only mix, but let out that ever present flavor vehicle... alcohol.

Does nicotine degrade to a point of uselessness, I don't know.

As a whole, to keep in line with the word "Lifespan", it comes down to the purity and durability of the components that made said juices.

Most eiliquids are mixed without any alcohol. That's not the point of steeping.

I know it's hard to read emotion through text a lot of times, particularly when you don't know someone's personality. I would just take the advice with the spirit in which it was given.

2 years is the stated lifespan from the major manufacturers. And they have an incentive to keep the number low.

Depends on if I really like the juice or not. Usually if it is a juice I enjoy, I usually have it in a 30ml bottle and it will last me about a week to about a week and a half.
