The title says it all.

The details: I made the switch to e-cigarettes about 10 months ago, after being a pack-and-a-half-a-day smoker for 27 years. I started with a Magma from Volcano, and I've mostly stuck with them; I've been happy with their atomizers and batteries. I've not really branched out and tried many other vendors, though. Oh, and I screwed around with cartridges in the beginning, then tried dripping, and never looked back.

My only complaint about Volcano is their lack of selection. Their liquid has decent flavor and delivers a good, strong throat hit, which is very important to me - I need that psychological indication that I'm getting something out of each hit I take. But they only have about 30 flavors, and most of these are sugary or fruity, which I'm not really into.

I've tried a couple of other companies, with bad results:

Twice I've ordered from eliquidplanet, and their juice was a joke. The flavors were nothing like what was advertised, and the throat hit was weak.

More recently, I ordered a few bottles of juice from madvapes, and while the flavor is decent, the throat hit is non-existent. I may as well be drawing on plain air.

So I'm looking for a company that has a better selection of juice that has a good throat hit. Does such a thing exist?

ETA: I have to enter break codes to prevent a post from being lumped into one paragraph? Seriously?

I recomend viking vapor. They have over 100 flavors. Every order can be customized (ie if you order vanilla coke and want more coke less vanilla they are happy to do that.) You can also pick an option for stronger throat hit. 7.5 mil bottles are 3$ and 30mil are 10$. Can also pick double flavor option. My only complaint with them is shipping. usually takes 2-3 days to ship out. But concidering they are custom mixing every order i dont complain.

The solution you seek is BACKWOODS BREW. His site can sometimes be a pain to deal with. Also his ordering process is out of the norm in that you place an order and then he sorta makes it when he can. So your shipment won't go out the same day or sometimes not even the next day, but as for the juice, it's the best there is...hands down. A peach taste like a peach, a pear taste like a pear. His tobacco flavors are his real specialty though. It's just one guy who makes it all I think, but he's fantastic at it.

Everyones tastes are so different that I hesitate to suggest a vendor. You may want to try several vendors sample packs. I do want to say that while I have liked Backwoods Brews flavors the throat hit has not been there in any of their flavors for me. This even includes their strong menthol flavor. Now you may have a totally different experience with them since everyones tastes are very different.
I DIY my juice now and have been doing so for awhile.

Good luck to you!

More TH is a combination of the following

Nicotine
High PG juice to let nicotine's TH through (I use PG w/ 10-20% VG for vapor, no more VG - thin juices for cartomizers)
Heat - you can't really get more heat out of Magma
Good drags - I recommend manual batteries - most will agree it's easier to get a good hit with manuals

Re heat - Most get heat on big fat battery models (my fave is the Riva 510 kits at Liberty-Flights.com since their kits are the new 3.7v ones from the correct manufacturer - real 3.7 vs 3.4v of Inferno/Ego) and mods (3.7v and other) - these have batteries 450mah+ so they can use LR (low resistance, hotter) atomizers and cartomizers.

In slim ecigs - KR808D-1 have the most voltage (3.7v) and can use down to about 2.5 ohm stuff (bottom of standard resistance) for more heat/hit than Magma. Magma (a 510) is 3.4v, maybe lower for the latter part of its charge

My best TH juices are from V4L (Vapor4Life). My favorites are the WOW juices Wowbacco and WOW Vanilla. (their cartomizers are KR808D-1 - with an adapter you could try their cartos on Magma if you wanted to try the sample packs of cartos of try flavors). Obviously, they only have TH with nicotine

I agree with these comments. TH comes from the nicotine strength and the warmth of the vapor and more PG to a much lesser extent. Any 24mg+ nicotine strength liquid on a larger battery model will provide good to really good TH. Mini-PV's just don't cut it. If you are using a 5 volt or variable volt PV, you can even get decent throat hit from 16mg liquid.

It all comes down to the nic strength and warmer vapor from better battery models for "truely good" TH. Some people confuse throat irritation with true throat hit.

If you can't get nicotine you can get throat sensation with...

Some flavors - mint, menthol, cinnamon, ginger, other spices, some liquor flavors like rum for example

TH additives - Flavourart makes Qhit (Happy vaper in Canada may have that), Vapornine in the US sells another TH additive, pepper juices (Totally wicked sells some really strong stuff, Flavourart makes a pepper flavoring

(and juice high in PG also let through the most flavor)

And read the Canada section of ECF (in National Forums) to see what others are using

I don't know if it's okay to post links, but Awesome Vapor has a good selection. I've only tried their Menthol and Dr. Pepper flavors though. Menthol is great, a bit more minty than real menthol cigs but not too bad. Dr. Pepper is weird. Sometimes it has a sweet taste that kind of resembles a soda, and sometimes it tastes absolutely nothing like that. It's not bad though.

But yea, they have a pretty varied selection. If you order a bottle of one type, you can get a free sample of another type. The bottles are only $8 and some are $6. I'm not sure how big they are in terms of ml but they last for about 1 1/2 weeks for me.
