I made a huge mistake a few months back and ordered Nicoticket's Custards Last Stand. Yeah... It's awesome! I went through 4 30ml's before giving ITC vapes a try. I went through 240ml's there before realizing it's just not as good.

A trip to my B&M today, and I buy a 30ml of Sugar Bear. It's good. I've gone through two tanks and I know I need more.

Here's the problem. When I started vaping, a 10ml bottle would last 2 weeks. Now, it lasts for a day. It's not just me, our devices are burning a lot more juice. The Atlantis tank is probably making juice vendors rich. All of a sudden, sub-ohming is for everyone.

So I'm burning so much juice, that the money I'm spending is getting to me. Will juice vendors start lowering prices or offering bigger bulk discounts? Will the market change, or will we all be forced into DIY?

The price comparison to analogs is no longer even close. Even if I ignored hardware, I'm still spending more then a pack a day. Add hardware and it's tripled.

Interested in hearing others thoughts. Have you been priced out of good juices?

It's not so that I can't afford it, it's that handing over the $50 is getting harder and I like supporting the locals.

You could try experimenting with DIY e-liquids. Bulk quantities of VG is pretty inexpensive as are flavoring agents. The most expensive ingredient will be the flavorless liquid nicotine.

Look into Wizzard Labs and My Freedom Smokes for DIY supplies. I'm sure there are others, that's who I've used before.

A lot of e-liquid recipes can be found here on ECF. DIY E-Liquid

I totally understand this! It's expensive and you have to hit the sales! Father's Day sales will be coming up, so make sure you are signed up for every newsletter you can.

You are in luck if you want more NIcoticket, though. There is a 50% off sale starting at midnight tonight (their time) and running for 24 hours. Use the coupon code "CELEBRATE" for 50% off your entire order, no matter how large. They are celebrating their 2 year anniversary! I really like their Peanut Butter Cookie, Absolut Creme Brûlée, Passioncake and Grandma's Cinnamon Danish. My husband is hooked on The Virus, The Cure and Frenilla. We will be hitting that sale HARD!

Good luck finding some other deals on juices you love - without good juice, I become bored really quickly.

I've noticed that too... The Atlantis v.2 uses MORE juice than the v1. I'm waiting for summer to get here and I'm going to start making my own juice. For the time being, I'm going with these companies like EliteJuices, SAUZ, and Ohm's Vapes that sell "premium" quality juices at like $25 for 120ml. They aren't nearly as tasty as the proper premium juices at stores, but I like them enough to vape on them all day and they last me a LONG time :)

Sub ohm tanks can definitely take a bite out of your wallet.

If you don't want to dial down the volts/watts it's a fact of life.

My general rule of thumb for e-liquid I intend to put in sub ohm RTAs/RDAs is to find a price point of around 50¢ per ml.

The Nicoticket sale Nanny22 mentioned is the best deal on high quality flavors you'll find anywhere right now. Well, between midnight (UT-6) tonight and midnight Thursday.

Stock up!

Yes I've been priced out of premium juice for the same reasons. I refuse to make this more expensive that smoking.. especially now that I don't even vape nicotine. I just can't justify the premium prices.

So I spent (and wasted) some money, but actually found some inexpensive juices I really enjoy (really just some from Crimmy's and Vape Joose).

BUT I just got the DIY bug mostly because I couldn't find an inexpensive pina colada that I enjoyed, lol. All my supplies are here except for the flavors.. they should be here tomorrow! I'm pretty excited about it.

I haven't tried this yet, just thinking about it, with my new to me REOsmods 20ml a day is not out of the question. I have some 0mg and 12mg Virus I've been using to make 6mg because they were out of 60ml bottles. Instead of cutting back the nic, I'm thinking if I increase it I should use less juice. The nic doesn't cost any extra (for the time being) and I'm not trying to ween myself off of the nic altogether. The reason I've cut back the nic has always been because as my equipment got better I need less nic in the juice to satisfy me. At this point I'm addicted to the taste and have the nic level low enough to chain vape without getting dizzy or having a nasty headache so maybe more nic will mean I burn up less juice.

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
DIM... great acronym.

Wish I and the time and inclination to try mixing my own liquids.

Right now I don't so I prefer DIFM (Do It For Me). :D

Many people mention time , it's nonsense . Mixing yourself takes literally no time , when i decide to mix i grab my shoebox (yes everything you need to DIY can fit inside a small shoebox) and i am done making 100ml in under 6 minutes .

Theres nothing to it , most sites convince you that you need cylinders and labware and a whole bunch of measuring utensils, syringes etc.. i never used any of it . I have one measuring cup and i use old plastic and glass bottles that i saved from past juice purchases .

I never even used a DIY calculator , been doing it like this for over a year , no issues.

Not so much nonsense when you have grueling work hours, limited time to spend with the family, and keep 30 to 40 flavors on-hand. If I had a single or even a couple of ADVs, I could probably swing it but I literally vape about 6 to 8 different flavors a day.

Same reason I continued to pay stupid prices for packs of smokes instead of going the RYO route.

I do have a shoebox, empty bottle pipettes, and a syringe or two, so if I get the urge, it's good to know I've got he basic gear.

Just make your own. Its simple. Takes five minutes, and you pay only about 12 cents per 30 ml. of ejuice.
You'll save thousands $$.

Just imagine how much cheaper it is for a company that's buying VG and PG by the drum and nicotine by the gallon and flavorings by the liter to produce. Probably pennies on the liter....

....there's some serious markup going on there.

Anyway, yeah, I'm getting into DIY now myself and have local sources for all the VG/PG and nic base. Its the flavorings that are going to be the tough part to sift through.

I really think things need to change as far as price is concerned. when $22 for 30ml became the market standard, it was excepted because most people were using ce4 or carto style tanks. you only went through 2-4ml per day, so $22 for 30ml didn't seem too bad.
now, when most people are going through 10-20ml a day......this price is unacceptable. it's even MORE expensive than smoking.
AND what are these companies gonna do when a 75%+ tax hits?? do you really think people are gonna pay like $40 for 30ml???

the amount of liquid people go through has changed, and the market needs to change with it.
imo, just don't buy the expensive juices. boycott them until they quit being so greedy. or at least until they start selling in bulk for a discounted price. if someone goes through 10-20ml a day, then why would they want a 30ml bottle?? imho 120ml bottles should be the norm....at least 60ml though.

I started DIY because premixed juices were WAY too strongly flavoured for me, and way too expensive.

For me DIY is an extension of the same ethic that brought me to RDAs and RTAs, if you want something to be right, don't leave it to someone else. I'm sure the first time you built a coil it wasn't perfect, but then you practice and perfect your technique. and bingo your coils are awesome.

At the end of the day so called gourmet juices are just VG/PG/Nic and flavouring. Take control, make some kick ... flavours tailored to YOUR taste buds, and save a bucket of money in the process. Thats what Norwegian tree wizards call a win-win situation.
