Hey Guys,

I am new to all this ecig stuff and have a question. I really just want the smoke and dont want any nicotine or flavor so my question is can I just buy a pure 50/50 mix of vg and pg for vaping? It is so cheap to but a 120 ml bottle. I mean a 3ml bottle of juice with flavor and nicotine is like 6 bucks but a 120 ml bottle of just vg or pg or a mix is 4.99 and will last me much much longer.

Is it safe to vape just this in pure form or is there other stuff that gets mixed in? And if there isnt extra then why is the flavored so much more expensive then the plain?

Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Thanks everyone.

Yes you can. But where are you buying your juice from that's $6 for 3ml?!!!!

You can get 20 ml for $10. Here's and example: Amaretto E-Liquid - Penny 's Store

Some vendors have it for even cheaper. But the reason regular pg and/or vg is cheaper, is because you're not paying for the nicotine or flavoring, which amounts to a small amount of extra money. You're mostly paying for the labor to have it mixed, and then a markup on top of that so the company can make money to pay their overhead and make a profit.

When you just buy plan PG and/or VG, you're just paying the markup, and not for labor. I'm of the opinion that plain PG/VG doesn't taste very good, and the nicotine content is important to my ability to stay off cigs. But you don't necessarily have to go without, you can always mix your own for fairly cheap.

I totally agree with all the other posters... But, would add in that if you can stand vaping it without flavor or nicotine, it will be safer for you. Some flavorings have ingredients that may not be good in the long run and nicotine also has some hazards associated with it, some good things, also!

I'm curious as to why you want it plain? If it is the cost, you should probably look around for better prices. If you are a smoker, you will feel the withdrawal effects if you give up nicotine cold turkey...

Welcome to the forum!

I was incorrect saying 6 for 3ml. I bought a sample pack from revolver which was 5 5ml bottles for 20 so each was 4. I was way off at first...lol

I was vaping cartomizers for a bit and going down nicotine levels slowely and eventually got off nicotine. I think my thing is I enjoy the act of smoking rather then the nicotine. I would love to taste the flavors, but not for the price. I go through much more vapor now that I am not using nicotine anymore. I have the menthol crystals and would just make the pg/vg blend menthol and maybe if I can find better sites with cheaper flavors I will add them as well in the future.

I am currently using the ego t system and revolver ion cigs. I like the ego but the revolver gets nowhere near as much smoke, and is pretty hard to draw. But I am getting used to that.

Thanks for your help guys.

I just started mixing my own. I bought a half gallon total of PG and VG which will last me for many months for $30. A $5 bottle of flavoring looks like it'll last like 2 weeks. That's pretty easy to bear.

You'll actually pay less per ml for full sized bottles, because instead of filling x amounts of small bottles, they only have to fill one bottle. They use less of their bottle inventory, less labor goes into filling, etc. Also, the more you buy, the more profit the company makes from you, and when you give them more than a couple bucks, they can afford to knock a bit off the price. I'll use this vendor, again, as an example. I'm using this vendor for no particular reason, or to promote, it's just one of the few I have in my bookmarks. And I'm choosing this liquid for no particular reason, it was just the first on the page. Anyway: Amaretto Cheesecake E-Liquid - Smoke Anywhere For Penny's, LLC Store

You can get a 10ml bottle for $5.95. That's 60 cents a ml. 20ml is $9.95. 50 cents a ml. And all the way up to 250ml for $81.95. About 33 cents a ml. With some vendors, the price decrease is more drastic the more you buy. Just look around for a good deal. You can have your cake and eat it too. I buy premixed juice, because my time is worth something to me, and I don't want to go through the hassle of mixing my own.

Which brings me to my next point, you can mix your own juice, flavoring and all, for much cheaper than you can buy it for. Nicotine, flavoring, and all.

I found a cheap source for flavored liquid but with 0 nic, but it felt weak in many ways (throat hit, flavor, vapor). Bad liquid or could the nicotine be making a difference?
