I'm not sure about the detergent and long term finish of the paint. I do weekly washing mine in the sink with a brush and dawn.

yes, after it dries I hit the contact with a small file, then noalox. I forgot to use the noalox once and could see arcing from the contact to the battery with the door off.
i give up. this has been driving me freakin nuts since i first joined ECF, and i figger Filthy Beast is a good one to ask.
nobody ever says "dish soap". it's always, always "dawn". even in the general forum.
for wicks, some like cotton, some silica, mesh, ekowool, hemp, bamboo, ceramic, mesh. but everyone uses dawn...

im with you... might change the wick or rinse the bottle from time to time... but most of the time i drain the bottle back into the bottle of liquid if im changing flavors

Dawn saves little baby ducks... Who doesn't love little baby ducks?
You would feel differently if you tried my Root Beer/Pear mix I had haha.
I've definitely done that before! Mixed a grape flavor and coffee without realizing. Definitely a bad decision.
Nay, jest I do not. If you don't feel safe doing this, just put the bottle in the dishwasher without the Grand attached and wash the Grand with a toothbrush and some dish soap.
As for the Noalox comment, I don't use that stuff, so I don't know.
Do you still scrub the firing pin with a file even though you don't use noalox?
Dawn IS the only dish soap. Says the girl whose husband works for the company...If it's good enough for baby ducks, it's good enough for our Reo babies.
Hey Mama I use Dawn because of it's better than most grease and oil lifting ability, thus why they use it to get crude off of wildlife. I only wax my car 2 to 3 times a year, I use dawn before waxing to strip the old wax off. All other washings are with just water.
