Welcome everyone to the new Bluegrass Vapers Forum!

Thus far I am completely out of the Meet-Up loop, I know an email was sent out about the Renaissance Fair, and a possible meet-up there, I think this is an Excellent Idea.

Two very active, and informative members of the BGV Social Group set up the very first Meeting and from what I've heard went off without a hitch.

TWolf and PureVapor have been excellent in getting this group off the ground!
These are also the people that have recommended the Ren. Fair Meet-Up.

Another member, KmKing also works at the Ren. Fair itself, and informs us that it is vape Friendly which I think is Amazing.

UPCOMING KY MEETINGS

JUNE 19 - KY RENAISSANCE FAIR
Join your fellow vapers at the Masquerade! No need for a mask as we don't know what you look like anyway... but feel free to dress up if you'd like. The renn faire is extremely vape friendly and very fun! Kids are welcome as well and will love the play area. Fun shows, strolling minstrels, and games abound. (Don't miss the Rat Pucking competition!)

JUNE 20 - KY RENAISSANCE FAIR
Can't make it the 19th? Come on the 20th! Celebrate Father's Day in style!

JULY MEETING
We're trying to locate a permanent meeting place in Louisville for monthly gatherings. Anyone that knows of an appropriate venue, contact PureVapor.

I'll be at the Ren on the 19th with my girls (ages 6 and 14) a hand full of cards, my Saber, and a pocket full of batteries.

Can change the day to the 20th if need be.

My younger brothers weeding is on the 19th, so I am considering the 20th.

Ren Fair's are fun, can't wait if I decide to go.

Anyone know if there is a way to Mass Email everyone in the group?

I'm planning on being there both days at this point. My son and his gf fell in love with the place yesterday. It was a blast! Lots of vendors, performers and shows. My son liked the mud show best of all.

Found a video about the fair that will give you an idea of what to expect. It's a very laid back atmosphere with activities for everyone.

Gates open at 10am. Maybe we can all plan to meet around noon near the entrance. That will give everyone time to arrive. Hope we get a large vaping crowd to go!

I am glad you came our TWolf! Sorry I was not able to stick around and chat much Saturday... it was opening day and things were a little crazy there.

My sister and brother-in-law are the ones who own and run the fair itself, so thats how I got hooked on them lol. Both my sisters, neices, wife, and a few other family members all work the fair, so its a chance to be with them during the summer as well.

They have a great venue for it! I was so glad that Melissa saw me and came out to say hi. Ian and his gf are gathering up friends to come out with us next Sat... and pretty much every weekend it's open. Since I'm their ride, you'll see me around again.

I'm going to post this meet in another forum as well to increase interest. If anyone else hangs out elsewhere, pass it along!

Well Zaija, it was mostly TWolf and MacArthurBug who organized the first one, and this one as well. Eminence is also near Cinci if anyone knows people there or knows of a group for them. I am looking into venues in Louisville for a more regular meetup for the whole tri-state area, but we could do a Bluegrass one in Lexington as well or stagger the locations from month to month.

I'll be there on the 20th if that's what everyone agrees on, but I don't plan on dressing up, sorry folks.

How far is Louisville from Lex? I know it takes about an hour and a half to get to lex from where I am, so the Ville might be a bit far of a drive.

I don't dress up either, but I am a chainmaille nerd, so I'll fit right in lol.

My son is trying to talk me into being slightly pirate-y. He really wants me to bring along a sword I have and knows I won't let him wear it!

Louisville's about an hour further, Zaija. Not sure of any shortcuts. We could carpool from Lexington though if that helps at all.

TW: The girls are going all out, so I'm getting dressed up in self defense. When/where are we meeting up? Front gate?

Exchanging phone numbers beforehand by PM is probably the easiest way to connect there.

Was thinking we'd meet up at noon near the front gate. Purevapor has a point though... in case someone is running late, etc. I'll send each of you a pm with my cell. If everyone is aiming for Sunday, I'll change the posting I have up in another forum and not plan on trying for both days.
