Like it, like it a lot :D.
Used the 2 x AA batt box from rat shack, and 2 14500 trustfires in series, with a 4081 atty. Gives me a strong 4 volts and should last most of the day.
I'm hoping my USB charger will charge it?????

Were you able to put in a pushbutton switch or did you decide to just use the on/off slide switch that it came with? I only ask because I know how cramped that 2x AA box with 2 14500s is, we want details ^_^

Yes, parallel (thanks)

This box didn't come with any switch, I added a tactile switch.

The battery on the right gets turned around. Then run ground from the bottom to the atty adaptor negative.
The tact switch is located above the left battery, neat thing is that one side of the tact switch is close enough to the (left) positive battery so you don't need a wire.
So...left batt positive to the tact switch AND to the right batt.
Both batt grounds are already together. Then FROM the tact switch to the positive on the atty.
Hope that makes sense?
Vapes real nice, with the 2 batts seems like it just has a strong "steady" 4 volts. I always swore by 6 volts, but I like this too, and elliminates the intermittent burnt taste.
I put it on my (SE) USB charger, used a rubber band to push the tact switch in. Red light is on...lets see if it turns blue.

That's my thought too - I think 3.7/4.2v is sufficient; an the bigger the capacity (and normally therefore output current/ability too not drop voltage), the better.

With two 14500s, charging might take some time ..........

Actually, used it for many hours last night and this morning. Then put it on the charger for 2 hours...light turned blue.
But I'm not sure how this charger works, is it timed? or does it turn blue (ready) when the batts are charged?

A top of range charger can go into a fast charge phase for part of the process. But that's not most usb ones.

You will know when you try the batts. 2 hours seems too fast to me, but might be wrong.

If the usb input is 100mA and the 14500 is 700mAh, one would expect about 4 hours. Could be 2 hours it can make use of a 300mA phase.

Remember that the battery will only be 1/3 drained (at most) but that the charging is slow towards the end (and maybe also at start).

Thanks, I just made one for the 901 atty.

Ohh, just made the laser mod last night: (a single 3.6 volts is a little weak for me though):
The Box mod uses (2) 14500 batts, the laser uses (1) 10440, both rated at 3.6 volts. (the 14500 may be 3.7 volts).
2 batts in parallel sure make a difference in the vape quality. Must be the amperage???
