I started vaping in August and have been dripping ever since. I truly enjoy using multiple flavors in a day, getting a new batch and swithing every 10 minutes to try them all as quick as possible, etc. I have seen so much about cartomizers, cartridges and tanks but truly have been scrared to spend the money. It just seems like dripping fits my needs and I wouldn't like the other stuff

-If I get a tank and put 3 ml of juice in then im stuck until its gone right?
-Cartomizers seem like they would just be a smaller version of a tank and I would end up with 10 sitting around with all of the different flavors I bounce around with
-Cartridges just sound so messy, are they worth the hassle compaired to dripping

Are these assumptions wrong? Dripping works but sure it would be nice to not have to put a drop in every couple of minutes. I would love to spend a bunch of money and try it all but as with everyone else who has that kind of money right.

Then I came across this surge tank bottom feed thingamabobber that 310vapers is about to start selling. Is this thing the answer for me? Do I see correctly that I could switch flavors like I do now by just swaping out my droppers?

Enlighten me everyone. Talk me into spending money.

By droppers, I think you mean bottles and probably. Like you, I prefer dripping and I've used a few different feeder type mods. One thing to consider is the availability of bottles for the device. If it takes a standard 3ml or 6ml bottle, it might suit your needs. Another consideration is how it feeds. Some bottom feeders have a tube that goes into the bottle. So you hold it upright to feed. Others you have to tilt down to feed. I've had both and they both work but, for an atomizer, I prefer to feed upright.

It also depends on how often you switch flavors. If you're doing it every 10 minutes, changing the bottle is going to be a hassle no matter what you're using.

Spending money!!!

  • Take a look at a Reo mini or grand. It will last forever.
  • Much cheaper - Dig up Old Goat mods. I think you can get one for around $30. It's not going to last forever.
  • Weird and even cheaper but it works for me. Look at the DOD (Drip on demand) at madvapes. I use one on my buzz pro. This would actually be the easiest to swap bottles on. You'll need to get the bottles at madvapes as well.

That's a start. There are lots more options. Take a look at Liquid Feed Mods Discussion and I'm sure you'll get some more ideas.

If you fill a tank you're stuck with the juice that's in it until it's gone, or you can take out excess juice with a syringe. But even if you've vaped it dry or removed excess juice the carto is still full and the juice in there will be there for quite a while. Tanks are not a good option for those who change flavors a lot, unless you've got bunches of tanks to switch out, not really an option for most of us.

Cartomizers usually hold a little over 1 ml of juice, although some hold several ml. Changing flavors in a carto is not really an option either. If you vape it until it starts tasting burned there'll still be around 1/2 ml left in it so if you fill with another flavor there will be quite a bit of mixing of flavors. Carto's aren't really an option for changing flavors often unless you just keep a bunch in circulation and change cartos when you want to change flavvors.

My opinion of cartridges?, they don't offer much advantage over just dripping. They don't hold much juice so you have to top them off a lot. They also need more fiddling to keep them working properly. Personally I'd just drip and avoid cartridges.

I haven't seen the Surge Tank in operation so can't say much about it. You'd probably have to change bottles and tubing to change flavors. How much hassle that would be and how quickly the flavor changes afterwards is something the vendor might be able to tell you. In the mean time I'd say just keep on dripping.

As one who does not change flavors alot, I do like the convenience of tanks. But tanks should be used for only juices you know you like. Attys, for me, do make the flavor better. I started out only liking cartos, but now I also really appreciate attys. But I generally only use them at night when I am home. I love my tanks for the hassle freeness of them. I don't have to refill when it's inconvenient.
