Here's a couple of pic's of my GGT with a rubbed down 801 before and after. I think it makes a world of difference.

I use 120 and 160 grit sand paper to remove the paint, then some 400 grit to remove the scratches then some metal polish. The ones I use from TW have been copper plated before the paint so this needs to be removed also :)
