I've been wanting to get into rebuilding for awhile now, so I picked up a Hannya rda a few days ago and built my first coils! Its firing at 0.3 ohms using 24 gauge kanthal wire. I gotta say, its great saving money on coils.

Horrible.. just horrible.. tear it apart and do it again..... :) Actually, it looks pretty good. The only thing that looks puzzling in that photo, is the blistex.. just don't prime your coils with that....not really recommended. :)

In all seriousness, the coils look nice and tight. Cotton may be a bit heavy, but that's hard to tell. Also, I like to position my coils close to the air intakes. If your air intakes are on the side, then position them a bit closer.. if they are from the bottom, just make sure they're over the intake holes.

& whats the lucky mod yer vaping it on? regulated? mech? if it's mech, I hope it can handle 0.3, hell, if it's regulated i hope it can handle 0.3 ohms, but i'm sure it'd tell ya if it couldn't! ;) hahaha.

congrats on making it into the world wide web of rebuilds! yer gonna love it! & we're gonna love YOU, so-long as you continue posting some awesome pix of your builds! btw, that build is flawless in terms of a n00b build, lol! you certainly did a great job for some1 just starting out, bro! damn! loving it! :)

Congratumalations, my fellow vaper! keep'r up, an try some different techniques!
Most importantly, ENJOY your vape journey, my man!! :)

Looks very good, though as mentioned a little heavy on the wicking perhaps. Remember that low resistance coils are not actually required on a regulated device. Build for surface area and required heat flux. Higher resistance coils will actually draw less amps from your batteries prolonging their lifespan.

I'm thinking about the posts; I don't see the posts;
I'm thinking you have long legs and maybe kinks/sharpbends on the legs.

I always try to wrap and align my coils so that it matches up neatly with the geometry of the rda that I am making it for.

These do look really tight. That is meant in a good way though. I'm rebuilding on a RSST. I only do 3/4 wraps in what to me seems a macro coil. It works out though. Biggest trouble I have is in the wick. For me it is a bit difficult to shove the wick through the coil. Have tried twisting as well. I just fumble with it. Figure more doing will help.

Hannya I'm pretty sure is a postless?

Edit: Yep, postless RDA...

I watched a review on it a while back. Seems like a cool idea but I'm a bit of an overdripper so I'm a little hesitant to get any bottom airflow RDA because of it.

Yeah, that can be a problem for me as well... and that's a pretty shallow juice well. I can pretty much guarantee that I'd just end up with juice all over the place...
