It's a combination of the atomizer, the juice, the voltage output, even price point that make a great vaping experience. These all can be ordered separately and comes in so many different variations so thats why it's difficult to answer. For me right now it's my REO with a 801 mini atomizer and bwb malty toffee juice.

REO's Mods | Home of the REO PV
IKV LR 801 2.0Ω Mini Atomizer
Backwoods Brew

see my suggestion doesn't really help since it's all a matter of preference (price point, design, quality, etc) that will make your decision.

The Tornado/Ego is actually one of the flagship 3.7v models of PVs, a great model for a primary go-to vape. If looking to upgrade from this model is a journey into mod territory, typically with High Voltage (5v or 6v) vaporizers.

I would say that 510's, especially with a PCC (Personal Charging Case), make a great backup for the Tornado, especially coming down to size, convenience, and the nice thing is cross model compatibility with using the same atomizer as the Tornado.

What's best? That's like asking "what's the best car?" It depends on personal preference, so you'll get 10 different answers. Ego/510 types actually run at 3.2 volts; KR808 models and most basic mods run at a true 3.7 volts. I'm testing a little 3.7v box mod I made last night as a trade (getting a coffee maker from a co-worker for it, lol)... it uses 510 threading, but a 3.7 volt battery, and so far these little boxes I'm building are the best ecigs I've tried.

If you're looking for an 'upgrade', you might search for a mod. Most use 510 threading & run at at least 3.7v. Plus, the batteries are generic lithium-ions, and thus cheap relative to proprietary ones. Caveat: if you get over 5 volts, standard atomizers & such won't work (the built-in protection circuit in the batteries cuts 'em off)... you need specialized HV attys for 6v.
