Just dry burned my 2nd Vision to death.

Alright, what's going on here. 3ohm mini, and 3ohm regular, short burst on 3.4v ego, coil fries almost as soon as it starts to glow. Dissection after death shows the wick was burnt through as well. WTH?

Just for kicks, I took a 3.5ohm Fluzo that I haven't used in a while, and 2 second dry burned it over and over. At least 20 times. The coil is ash white, and so is the wick. Wick looks and feels like the same material.

it seems to me the wicks on the visions are a little more delicate than fluxos, mine are kind of falling apart but cant complain its been a month on 3 in rotation.cleaned them yesterday no problems with the coils but the wicks are starting to come apart where it meets the coil.when i cleaned i pulled wicks out of tubes washed in hot water shook out excess water.took small piece of paper towel and shoved in to the coil and left alone for an hour to soak up the exces water dry burned about 4 or 5 times pushed back in wick done. and working good. i think your coils just saw the end of there life.

Both of these had around a week of vaping on them. IDK, maybe I'm reducing their life running them at 4.5V.

Spousal unit is using them with eGo's. Be interesting to see how it fairs when I dry burn it.

I have 4 in rotation and have cleaned and dry burned all 4 about 3 times on my E-Power and they are still going like new.

I've had the same three in rotation since I received them, shortly after the original issue. I've cleaned and dry burned each 5 or 6 times. I don't pull the wicks out to clean. I just soak them in Everclear for 10 or 15 minutes. Then I Taryn spin the excess out, and dry burn at 3.3V. Wicks beneath the coil look like new.

id say its the 4.5 volts burning them up im using 3.7 on 2.8 ohm with no probs.
