Big and 100w (wow, maximum overkill:D) but that being said, if someone wants to build a killer neo-post apocalyptic looking PT and mount that bad boy on top of good laptop or XBox PSU…hmmm, pretty cool, I guess my only issue would be that’s a lot of stuff that can go wrong on a module (which is why I'm not a big fan of laptops)…by piecing it together with stand alone meters, if you pop one you can just swap it out without replacing the whole module…the ammeter I used (at work atm and they block ebay) is a 3.5” inch blue “LCD”, 0A to 10A…it was about $10…I also got the matching Volt meter as well but the voltage is so off, even the calibration trimmer won’t get it close…ah well, ebay and Asian suppliers, you have to get burned once and a while I guess :(

For 100 W must goes IN with 100 W :D. I like marketing stuff...anyway 108x42x24 it`s big. At this dimension or less, much less I can make a regulator+LCD display showing Vin Vout and current.

I have project, I can buy electronics components..give me a nice box, but when I say nice, nice to be not cracking plastic :D:D, and most important give me time.

Watts in/watts out only counts if you don't have a magic power fairy like I have:p...now if you stuck it on top of an old 350w ATX you may have kicking around, hell, that's a PT for you and 5 buddies:D...set up a power rail and a half dozen RCA female connectors:laugh:...ok, I'm getting a little carried away now...back to work

Got a few new LM2596 with the meter already attached. Easy mod, just 4 solder points and ready to vape. I will be putting a on off on slide switch instead of the jumpers. Pretty cool for those that want any easy mod just more expensive than buying the meter and board separately.
Bad place to put the fire switch. The reg will always be 'on' and drawing some current, even when not vaping when you have cells installed. Best to put the fire switch on Vin (not out).

Thanks WillyB I will make a note of that on future mods....I always reasoned that it may be more harmful to hit the regulator with high surges on and off and I normally just use PT with power sources so the little consumption of being on would do no effect I also use a master switch and never leave the PT plugged in when not in use.
