trick or treat...

just re-coiled my ithaka.......0.7ohm....2 premade 1.2 ohm coils....
anyone have advice on joining nr-r-nr wire? i want to micro coil the ithaka but for now im using prejoined wire so there it's too thin....don't own a wire welder....should i be buying one? twisting didnt seem too stable

Lots of info here about building your own for next to $0.00 (if you have a Walmart or Walgreen's nearby)

The Spark-O-Matic - Wire Arc Welding for coil making

Thats how I got mine. :)

A little late on getting my JGG so when my time came I was fortunate in many ways to be able to get two with the intent on mixing some pieces then trading or selling one but now I can't seem to let go of either. Was skeptical that the GGTS could be that much improved upon but the JGG is the best mechanical I've ever used or seen....thanks Imeo for doing all you do....greatly appreciate it....

Good timing for a wire welder.

There's a large batch of them being made and sold on Vaporwall, Ariel can hook you up if you are interested, I believe.

Edit: I like wire welders and silver crimps because I like to tinker, I futz around with mods, attys and wires as I relax at home on conference calls or watching TV. If you want to avoid the hassle, just wait a bit and buy a bundle of ready wires when imeo's resellers stock them again. Sure, it's more expensive than making them yourself, but still dirt cheap. A ton of them for the price of a pack of analogs.

where to get the silver crimps? can you just crimp the wires together without need of twisting? :glare:
something like this in a tube? will it work?
