I'm so ....... My kayfun lite was threaded so tight onto the gg collection tank that I spent 2 hours trying to get it off. Then I was so mad that I took 2 pairs of vice grips and stuck one straight on the kayfun and the other straight on the collection tank and it still wouldn't budge and scratched both pieces all up. I then stuck the gg collection tank straight on a table vice and used vice grips on the kayfun and it finally came off. Needless to say there is now a kayfun lite in Tampa's Bay and a gg collection tank that I'm going to have to sand for a day. Sorry imeo :(

I feel for you... I had that happen with a Ithaka and a GP Paps. Had to buy a new GP top cap

Anti-slip tape trick always works for me on stubborn locked threadings. Cut a couple thin strips and stick for a good grip.

That's a bad day.
Sounds like your juice crystallized from the sugars and froze the tank. Next time boil them for a bit, then wrap some rubber bands around each piece and twist.

Yea man I tried everything. I've been vaping for three years so I have run across this before. I tried everything from freezing it to rubber bands, rapping a cloth around it and nothing worked. Even when it was on the table vice I couldn't even get it get it loose at first using a vice grip. Oh we'll looks like I have a project.

Looking at these pictures it's amazing! This is the most universal Gg out there! It's a GGTS on steroids. So many more options. Imeo you out did your self brother! Tired of commercial mods lol. We can honestly say we own a rare mod! GGTs will come and go but not JGG "
waiting for my mail man this sucks lol

I am really sorry to hear that dusty:( At least you are under GG waranty, so you can replace cheap your collector tank if you like.:)

justGG is exactly what you said Frank. All options are there with more innovations even than GGTS.

Thanks imeo. I am going to try and sand it down first. I think I can bring it back to life. Anyone have any thoughts on a good grit to start at for semi deep scratches...

Thanks. That is a great idea. Not sure if it would have worked in this situation since a table vice and vice grips barely worked.

I'm no expert, but I have removed brushed finished by starting at 600 grit and working up to 2500, then 0-0-0 sttel wool and finally the buffing compounds. I always wet sand and clean paper often. Depending on the depth of the scratches you might have to start rougher, maybe 220. But be careful with something that coarse.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking. Starting at 220 or 400,600,1000,1500 and so on...

How are you mounting it to sand? By hand, in a lathe, chucked in a drill?

Yea I am just going to do it by hand. I sanded a few rebuildables from brushed to polished like this but nothing scratched up like this before. I am just going to have to be careful with the lower grits...

If you can get your hands on a drill and some clamps, it makes the job ALOT easier. Clamp the drill to a table, screw in a sacrificial 510 adapter to your collector tank, chuck it up, set in on low speed and polish away.

Thanks for the tips man. By the time I get off work today I think my only option will be to do it by hand and I am to impatient to wait and don't want to stare at the scratched collection tank lol. On a happier note there should be a lot of people including me getting our justGG today. Cant wait to get it...
