Damn it. I'm ...... and heartbroken at the same time. My brass JGG was delivered today and somebody stole it out of the mailbox. Found the empty box and envelope in the trash outside. I could just cry.
sad thing is whoever took it probably has no idea what it is. looked expensive so they took it.

i just received my backup JGG, its not brass but if you don't have one PM me your adress and i will ship it out to you tomorrow as a loaner until you can order another one. its just sitting in storage.
How does "signed for delivery" work when the postman just leaves the item in an open mailbox? The equivalent in the UK would be the postman leaving your parcel at the gate to your garden or driveway.
It could have been from COV. I could be wrong but don't they just use regular shipping from USPS? If it was USPS priority, only 50 dollars is covered. Maybe house mouse can chime in on where he ordered and if insurance was purchased.
Once the package has been delivered, the responsiblity of the sender is over. Your house insurance would be the only way to cover this. A police report should have been initiated immediately. In case of theft, it would be covered after your deductible. If you have a high deductible like we do (500.00) you would be out of luck.

I wish there were such a list... sadly, there's not. I never have any problems, so it's just the announcements that keep me coming back to ECF.

...wow...I am just so sorry this happened to you and your JGG. Was the invoice with it? Do you or COV have any idea what number it might be? Maybe everyone could keep an eye out for it. I'm just so sorry there are people out there that just have no respect for others and their property. I would see if the cops could take prints and see if there are any relevant hits from it.

If money is an issue I would be willing to donate some to this cause. Maybe others would be willing to as well?

All justGG are in my sellers hands fright so I cant deside alone. I also know that vasillis send an Ithaka and a justGG to fright before some days, so in that case I really have to ask him. We will find a solution no worries but thanks a lot for your offer
I've been at work all day and just got home. Reading through the posts and I have to say that you guys are absolutely the best folks ever. I did insure the mod and I really wish the little twerp had taken the whole box because I would have argued with the post office until my dying day that it wasn't delivered. However, as dspin pointed out, they did deliver it. Someone else just decided they were entitled to it. I wouldn't even think of filing a claim knowing it was delivered. I am going to email Bruce and see if by some miracle of miracles he kept track of the serial #s sent out. If so, at least it can be listed as a "hot" mod here if anyone shows up trying to register it or sell it.

mouse I would also recommend that you start doing fedex shipping or UPS instead of normal mail. Who knows if its the mail delivery guy? The unfortunate/fortunate fact is that vaping has become much more common nowadays and people might recognize vendors that sell expensive mods.
I'm curious because it seems the mail delivery guy would be high on the suspect list instead of people just randomly checking mailboxes ...
