Just got a Riva 510, I love it, but what's that brown liquid?

I'm currently using a Riva 510 with Boge 2.0 Carto's. When vaping, sometimes this brownish/black liquid comes through the tip, tasting very burnt and ruins the flavor.

What is this? I'm ensuring the Carto's pretty juiced up, but it manages to come through and mess up the flavor. Anybody familiar with this?

You could be overfilling. Have you tried blowing through the carto to eliminate any over fill?

This is pretty normal. To help eliminate it, when you drop juice into the carto take a paper napkin and wipe the inside wall of the carto a little. And clean the rubber cap with paper towel when you fill. Hold your battery in a downward position. And like Oldjoe says blow out the excess that gets in the center tube when you fill. You'll still probably get some but not as bad.

Sounds to me like you are using a thick, sweet juice that is caramelizing around the coil and then burning off in chunks. What is your juice?

Wow! Just had to comment - expecting my Riva 510 any moment now and my all day vape is VR HC! Even funnier is that I mix HC with FM - hahaha!! Try it...you'll like it!! Apparently we have excellent taste!

Also in reference to the HC - I was able to use this juice on a G5 (just playing around with the G5 - expecting zero success) and was amazed to see that the HC did not disintegrate nor cause an explosion of the G5 and vaped great). In talking with Old Guss @ VR, they extract the purest oils on the HC and it IS oily for sure!

I vape a Riva 510 also.... This happens when you either overfill or dont blow out the tube...... after you fill it up blow the juice back through... blow on the battery connector side.... blow kinda hard to get the juice from out of the tube back into the filler area.

It's a clear cartomizer for my 808s. Clear cartridges - no batting. However, they have not been perfected yet - very tempremental yet - tend to leak and have to be babied. Nothing I'd personally feel comfortable with being mobile. Here's the link so you can check them out - taste is fabulous on them though - gotta say that!
