I am a 39 years old and have been a pack a day smoker for some 25+ years. I enjoy smoking, but after trying my first e-cig I thought it may be a good replacement. With all that said, I just got the V2cigs "V2 Ultimate kit". While I do like it I'm still a bit unsatisfied. The batteries and the carts don't last as long as I would like and the vaping experience isn't quite as satisfying as smoking. I think it's the amount of vapor that's lacking. I just ordered some carts that are a higher nic level to see if that helps.

After doing a bit of research I am thinking of upgrading to a eGo twist. What are your thoughts? Anything that you think would be better in that price range? Also, is the eGo twist compatible with any 510 cart or atti? Where do you think I should get it from? Oh, and what's the deal with the different ohm levels in carts?

Hi, the Ego Twist would be a great choice and it is compatible with anything with 510 threading.

Lower ohm atty coils allow a warmer hit with more vapor when you're using a low voltage device, with the Twist being VV up to 4.8v I'd suggest getting something in the standard range of about 2.4ohms.

Welcome to the group. I was a very heavy smoker, 2-3 packs a day. I started with a pair of eGo twist, 1000mah and also a pair of kGo 1100mah kits. Either one would last me about a day to a day and a half. I prefer the twist so I can change the voltage to suit my needs at the time. So in short here is a second vote for the twist. From what I understand for every 100mah you will get about 1 hour of use. I know others are here that can give you a lot more detail into the techie stuff.

I would get an eGo twist. An atty of about 2 ohms gives you the most power (vapor). I use 1.8 ohms.

You may be the most satisfied with high nicotine. I use 36 mg, but get the highest the supplier offers for a start. Many people like weaker levels, though.

I personally prefer PG, with perhaps 20% VG. 100% VG feels very heavy in my lungs, but, again, some prefer it.

Hope this helps !

With those batteries (the twist) I would totally get a ViVi Nova tank ... Mini or regular size. I am using a Mini and have been vaping for 2 years. NOTHING I have tried gives me flavor and throat hit like this tank. I have gone through atomizers, cartridges and clearomizers and this thing, by far, out performs. My BF who is trying to give up "analogs" has raved about this system as well and it's keeping him off the cigs better then the cartomizers or clearomizers ever did (he's only been vaping since April).

Hi and welcome to ECF. First and foremost, if it's not past the 30 day warranty, get a refund.

Yes the Twist is a great PV as many eventually upgrade to a variable volt PV. Add a Mini Vivi Nova and you're set.

Well I just got my new carts in with the higher nic level and it does make a difference. I also got in sample pack from Alice in Vapeland and all I can say is WOW! I've only tried two flavors so far, but it seems much better than the V2 stuff. Maybe it's the PG/VG ratio they use. Don't know, but good stuff so far.
