So, as some of you may know, my VAMO V1 was dying slowly (the - button wasn't always working, would randomly shut off on it's own). So I went to my local vape shop hoping to get a V2, and they instead had a V3. The spring is MUCH improved over the V1, and I can actually use my flat top 18650s again without worrying about it shorting :) I also like how it saves the voltage/watt settings, that the V1 didn't do. It did save whether or not your were in watts or volts, and whether you were in avg or rms, but that was it. So the V3 should be better in that respect. The mechanics behind the buttons don't feel as solid as the V1, but then again, after what happened to my V1, apparently feelings aren't everything. Paid $59 after taxes, which is a bit higher than other places online. But after paying for shipping, and possibly having to wait for it to be in stock, I think I'd rather support my local vape shop. Got it in gunmetal to match the locking tank I have. Looks pretty slick. Hope this lasts longer than the V1 did :)

Yeah, my button top worked fine in my V1, but my flat tops did not. My 18350 flat top worked ok, but was still slightly loose. Got a feeling all my batteries will work fine now though. I believe the difference between the versions is the V1 had rubber buttons, the V2 had metal buttons and an improved spring, and the V3 has a gold spring instead of a stainless one. The V1 also had 2 versions, 1 with a small hole and no gasket on the inside, and the second version 1.1? had a larger hole with a gasket. I think that's right

there were actually v2's that still had the smaller spring with metal buttons early in the release of the V2 ,which they updated, and most vendors replaced the small spring with the larger spring (which is gold) for their customers.

I have never heard of it being a version 3 but I guess since I bought a new gold spring and put it in the bottom cap of my v2 I made it a v3. :) bonus. way cheaper then buying a whole new vamo..

They are the same thing (v2 vs v3) except for the updated gold spring. The smaller spring was made of steel that created resistance and caused the bottom of the vamo to heat up with use. So they changed it to the bigger gold spring.

This vendor, being a B&M store, hasn't really renamed anything. Though they may have taken liberties with the VAMO in calling it the V3. At least it's still the VAMO :) But yes, I know what you mean there. Too many vendors are changing the names and it has become quite confusing. Batteries and mods and what not are normally easy to tell, but atomizing devices....ugh...good luck with that.

On the box mine stated Ego APV kit... came with 2 18350 and a charger... like 40 bucks shipped. Got a ViVi Nova and vaping with a 3.2 ohm atomizer on Rms 12 watt. NICE !

The Vamo has different names - Ego APV, Bamboo, Etna, and one vendor was selling them as the Eagle. $40 shipped is a good deal. My first Vamo was about $40 and my second ws $30 - both version 2. There are only two versions, but there was a spring replacement done after a run with springs that were too conductive.
I like the vivi novas with mine too.
