Just got an eVic, but it should be a Provari

As I wrote in a previous thread, I fried my eGo-V VV battery trying to use a non-eGo cable to charge it, and I ordered an eVic to replace it. It came in the mail today. It's a very cool mod, and I'm quite happy with it.

My wife asked what it was and how much it cost, and I told her. Her response: "Why don't you just get a Provari. You know you're going to get one anyway, so why waste your time and money on something else in the meantime." Honestly, I think I remember reading that as a comment -- almost word-for-word -- on some thread here asking which mod to purchase. Maybe even more than once.

I'll have to use my eVic for a couple months before purchasing a Provari so that my vaping expenses can continue to fly under the radar screen. (A frugal wife is a great blessing. I think that's in Proverbs or something).

So, one the one hand, my enthusiasm for my eVic is perhaps a bit dampened by the knowledge that it coulda' been a Provari. But on the other hand: Yeah, I'm pretty much married to the finest women on earth.

I almost bought an evic a couple of days ago, but I went with an itaste MVP. I'm still getting a Provari mini though. I don't really know what I'm waiting for, except that I hate waiting for things to get shipped to me.

I have both and a few others and like the VW and MVR profiles on the evic and vw on the anyvape v1 better than the provari. I change flavors a lot and my atties are all over the place as far as resistance so setting a wattage and not touching it is nice. On the cheap I like the twist too, might not be VW but changing voltage is a breeze.

I'm in the same boat.....get a vamo, tesla and new accessories or get just a provari. I think the more time that passes the less reason I have to drop that much on a single vv mod.

I have a provari mini and love it but that display on the evic looks pretty cool though. I'm tempted to pick one up but like you I'm also trying to keep it under the radar.

I've been using my eVic for a month and I love it.

After using my eVic for several hours, I'm loving it. I've already programmed in an MVR VW configuration, and it completely satisfies my need to configure everything. If mods were computer operating systems, then the Provari is Red Hat Enterprise Linux and the eVic is Ubuntu.

I'm definitely more afraid to leave my house w/out my provari than I am of breaking it or losing it while out.
It is almost a needed accessory for out of the house. Very scary out there with no Provari.

I have tried several of the mid to hi end mods the provari, z max, gg, eVic and Vamo. I setteled on the vamo. To me it had a better draw and flavor and fit my budjet. we all have differnt styles of vaping and all of these where good mods. It came to preference and value.

The eVic looks pretty cool. I've watched some reviews and I've seen a lot of people say it has a lot of useless features though. Like a counter than averages out how long your puffs are, the date and time, your name..? Idk.. seems kind of weird. Other than the useless features it looks like a good mod though. I'm lovin my ProVari right now though.

Yes, but there is also a considerable quality difference, especially the later.
