...except for the skull drip tip but...hey...I like the contrast.

Debated a long time between this and a brighter color (I had my eye on the gold and black for some time) and I'm really glad I got the copper vein. Just a nice, warm, earthy color...great for our office environment at work. And the texture just feels...right. I giggle every time I look at it...driving my wife up the wall.

Now it's time to paint the tumbled raw. Drove all over town looking for Plastidip in Olive Drab...nobody had it. I finally just ordered it from dipyourcar.com. I'm thinking of having the Marine Corps EGA etched on the front and maybe polishing the door to a mirror finish...hmmm...too many decisions!

Time to fly...contact!

Nice one. It was a toss-up between this and the black wrinkle, the wrinkle won--barely. Congrats :D

Get a copper RM2 and it will make that mod look awesomer with the skull

Already on my list...:)

Anyone know the atty Rob uses to make the RM2? I've seen a link posted previously but I can't find it. Figured I'd snag one of those and use my Dremel to buff off the finish without sacrificing too much if I screw it up.

Congrats Crash, she looks awesome.

Love the background photo.

OT: I've always been a WWII buff. My dad and most of my uncles were WWII vets.
Dad was with the Army in Europe.
One uncle was a tanker in Patton's 2nd Armored.
Another uncle flew a fighter in the Pacific Theater.
And another flew 30 missions in a B-24 over Germany. 93rd Bomber Group, Eighth Air Force. He received his DFC in 2002, when there were only four survivors left from his original 10-man crew. Better late than never I guess.

Myself, 82nd ABN, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, AMTU Sniper School, All Army M16 Competition, Rifle Marksmanship Instructor, blah, blah, blah. But that was back in the 80's and it all seems pretty boring compared to my Dad and uncles. The uncle who flew fighters actually ended up dying from Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever when I was around 5 years old. Can you believe the irony? Survive a world war as a combat pilot and then die because of a tiny tick on a hunting trip. Life is strange.

Anyways, good on you. I love the copper vein.

What I would give to be a fly on the wall at your family reunions'. The Pacific Theater is my area of expertise but lately I've been studying the air war on the Eastern Front. Absolutely brutal. The all female squadrons are especially fascinating.

Too bad about your uncle...I especially would have liked to interview him. The PT had some of the worst conditions in the war even for pilots.
