You know, taking out those tank caps is kind of like the thing we used to do with analogs, tearing the filter off for those moments when you wanted a "power hit" of nicotine ...
It is a lot like ripping the filter off.
I decided to put the end caps back on though. I don't want debris falling into those air chambers. It seems the inner plug is the biggest culprit in reducing the taste and throat hit.

Yeah, I noticed a little dust and crud in the chamber, probably lint from my shirt pocket ...
I'm going to take an end cap and run a drill into it, open the hole to about double the current size, and see if that improves performance noticeably without leaving the tank exposed ...
I really wish that Joytech or Ovale would make a larger tank for the eRoll ...
(except then it wouldn't fit in the PCC ...

Yeah, it IS more effort than its worth. Used a drill bit in a pin vise, but the plastic is soft and the hole was ragged, didn't make any difference that I could notice ...
Like you said, removing the inner cap and replacing the outer cap seems to be the best enhancement. Better air flow and no crud contamination in the air chamber ...
A more powerful battery would be nice. Maybe in the next version ...
