Now I'm in vapor utopia...

USB Passthrough for the 401

Didn't work at first with my M401 atty, it is designed for the dse401. The LED just kept flashing.

Brandon did assure me that it would work.

Fiddling around from one usb source to another..I found out that all usb ports are not created equal. The one I wanted to stay away from was my desktop. Wouldn't you know it..that is the one that works.

Either way, no more worrying about charged batts anymore. Now waiting for my Kensington power pack to arrive and I will be set..at least for this moment, lol.

I got mine from the same place as well, and mine worked on all the usb's I tried. I do have to say it's kinda wired vaping it with cord hanging around. It reminds me of vacuuming, I am always trying to get the cord out of my way. This is the first USB passthrough I own, so it will take awhile to get use to it. It does work fine with the M401.

Just a quick note... If you've never tried a passthrough, I highly recommend it, regardless of brand/type of PV.

No comparison to using batteries. Batteries, I have found, are very inconsistent and frustrating. Sometimes they would be great, other times... Batts are very convenient when you are on the go. But a usb passtrhough is a very consistent, steady and reliable power source to the atty.

Makes the whole vaping experience all the more enjoyable.

I agree with Vaporize Me - having a Kensington power pack has almost totally eliminated my frustrations with the whole battery issue. I have had mine for about 2 weeks now and I have only used my actual batteries a couple of times since getting it. I don't even mind the wire. It's a lot less hassle than constantly changing and charging the batteries - at least for me.

Hubby has always insisted that his shirts have pockets to hold his cigs. He places his Kensington in that pocket and the cord is tied up somewhat so he doesn't damage his passthrough. I have found that the Kensington fits inside my bra without any problems or visible deformities. The cord is fed out the neck of my shirt. I can also leave it in my pants/shorts pocket and have the passthrough reach just fine.

There has to be a better way to hold the Kensington and the passthrough.

What about those days with tank tops..braless(?) days.

I saw a pic of somebody that wrapped and taped their wire around the batt pack. A little less cumbersome while vaping and driving.

It would be ideal to have a hard or padded case, something with additional pockets and one with a belt clip. I know that there are a zillion cases but finding the right one....

I would never go braless. Someone could get hurt. How about the arm strap thingie for an iPod? You know the one that straps on with velcro. The Kensington is not any bigger than my iPod nano, so it must be smaller than a regular iPod. Maybe a case designed for a MP3 player would work. Anything with a belt clip you could feed the wire under the shirt and out the neckline or on the outside of the shirt. It's no bigger than a headset cord.
