6 wraps around the biggest KK vapeteck coil jig post
Parallel build
Single coil
.28 ohms
On a magma clone I just got in the mail
Seems like its dry hitting after a few pulls and kinda sux ImageUploadedByTapatalk1413084791.870044.jpg
Think it's sitting at around .32 ohms now but feels like I only get five or six good hits outta it and she is dry and with a well that size you would think if get more

Magmas don't wick as quickly as traditional RDAs so I would raise the resistance a little.

Making sure your coil isn't too high off the deck will help with this as well.

Oh and something else I learned, don't be frugal with your wick tails put some cotton in that sump, it will help with wicking, and reduce leaking from the air holes.

No need. My wicks are short and maybe only go at most 3/4th down the well.
More wick in the well only means less juice in there.
Not to mention juice will travel quicker with less material to travel through

Got mine a few days ago. I've been kinda disappointed with drippers in the past, but that's probably due to my inexperience building for them. For whatever reason, the Magma seems to give much better flavor than either the 454 or Plume Veil. I'm guessing it's the reduced chamber and vertical air flow. This is a .7Ohm build. Vapor isn't massive but it's flavor I'm after. I get clouds fer dayz with the 454 or Tobh (28.5mm, the big 26650 sized one, on a copper Hades) but the taste has always been a little weak. These are all clones, btw, if that makes a difference to anyone.

Anyone try dual coils and use one wick zigzagging through both coils and then down into the well? I was thinking that might be awesome to catch juice when dripping and send it right to the coils. I picked one up last week from a local shop. Love it so far. Mine is silver with the copper band.

Yea think I'm going to have to try different coil builds on this magma which means live with what I have now and order more wire sizes and see where it works best for me
Seems like my coil may be too long cause it heats up a bit slow for me even a that low ohm level where as the 26 kanthal four or five wraps dual coil in my tug boat seem to be perfect but that's sitting around .5-.8 ish

Never had a dry hit from my Magmas unless I ran it out of juice. .33 to .65 ohm dual coils using 28 / 26 or 24 gauge Kanthal on a 1/8" drill bit wicked w/a blend of Rayon cotton and cellulo cotton.

I always use one long piece of wick. run it thru one coil then leave about a 1/2" loop and then thru the other coil. tuck the loop in the one side of the well and poke a 1/4" or so tail from each end of the wick into the other side of the well.

Always blows big clouds and provides great flavor
