    in a cave, eh?
Do you need any kind of adaptor or does it screw right on the ego-t battery? sorry for the noob question but am a new vapor as well.. lol

Your eGo-T battery has 510-compatible threads. The aforementioned Boge and SmokTech LR cartomizers will screw right on the battery. As will any 510-compatible cartomizer or atomizer.

Regarding Type A vs. Type B tank atomizers. The standard resistance tank atomizers don't deliver much flavor or throat hit. So you may be happier with low-resistance tank atomizers. Some people have reported the Type B atomizers are more prone to leaks than the Type As. And some people swear by the Type Bs.

New to this site and very new to vaping. (Ordered an eGo-T 2 1/2 weeks ago). Haven't had an analog since and I've been 1+ PAD smoker for 26 years. I've been reading as much as I can to really get the hang of this and I'm honestly just a bit overwhelmed. I LOVE how I was able to say no to analogs and just rely on the e cig, but lately have been getting the urge to get a better "hit" from it or try an analog again.

I'm thinking my problem is that I'm not getting enough TH from current vaping. I thought perhaps I should up the PG and lower the VG in my juice (bout 50-50 now) but am worried about the sore throat/cottonmouth will get worse than it is. Plus I like all the vapor. Reading above about cartomizers and low resistance atomizers above and realize I still don't have a clue what to do. I'm due to order more juice and thought about getting an extra atty or 2 and maybe another battery as backups, but want some advice before placing the order.....Thanks in advance.

Regarding sore throat and cotton mouth. Vaping dehydrates you. Make sure you're drinking enough water.

Regarding throat hit and vapor. If you're still vaping on standard-resistance tank atomizers, the low-resistance tank atomizers will be a big improvement. But, you might also like the Boge LR or SmokTech Dual Coil cartomizers. You can get them from Liberty-Flights.com (the OP is from Canada, so I threw up Canadian vendors for him).

If you still want a bigger hit than the LR atomizers, you can try upping the PG percentage. 70% PG / 30% VG is a good mix. You might find 100% PG leaks in a tank atomizer.

If you're looking for another ego battery, you might find the eGo passthrough battery convenient. You can charge it via USB cable and as long as it has a little charge in it, you can vape with it while charging.

If you want to try a nice drip setup, consider getting a 306 LR atomizer and 306 drip tip, 510 shorty extender and ego cone (the extender and cone are optional, but the 306 does get pretty hot).

Regarding the tank "system": It's a good system. There have been some folks that don't like them or have problems, but it's an easy and effective way to get into vaping. As noted above, the low resistance (LR) atomizers produce a better flavor and more vapor. They have no warranty on them (unless they are DOA), but that's offset by the lower cost per atomizer.

As you become more experienced with vaping, you *may* want to move up to something more suited to your individual preferences (I did, the wife didn't :) ), but it's an excellent place to start and the batteries you get with it will fit virtually any 510 threaded devices (tanks, atomizers, cartomizers, etc.) so it's pretty versatile too.

There's a HUGE thread here that's been going on for months, if you want to spend several days reading, and get an idea of the "quirks" and "fixes"

    Boge LR cartomizers (ElectroVapers)

    SmokTech Dual Coil cartomizers (CdnVapor.ca)

Happy Vaper also sells SmokTech dual coils. I'm not sure if the 510 2.0 ohm cartomizers are Boges.

Regardless, I think you'd be happy with SmokTech dual coils.

Hey bobsyeruncle, I just notice the screw on part of the 510 cartomizer looks excactly like my ego-t battery end so how would it be possible to put it together or am I missing something.. sorry again for the noob question

No worries about the questions, we were all n00bs here once. :) You are correct, that's known as a 510 connector, and is probably the most common type of connector. Those eGo batteries use standard 510 connections, so any 510 or eGo atomizers or cartomizers will work.

Hey Mindfield , can you link me a 510 cartomizer that will screw onto my ego-t battery.. am still kinda lost lol

Absolutely! Here are some from MadVapes (just because I've dealt with them a lot lately):

    SmokTech standard 3.2ohm 510 cartos
    SmokTech standard low-resistance 2.0 ohm 510 cartos
    SmokTech ultra-LR 1.7ohm standard 510 cartos

These are the standard ones. MadVapes has others, including CE2 tanks, but I'd advise sticking to standard cartos like these for now. They're easy to use and work very well. You can also use dual coils, and these do work very well, but they do tend to reduce battery life -- both full-charge usage time and overall life of the battery.

^^ Thank you mindfield.. I must be really dumb... with the links above how would it be possible to screw it on my ego-t battery? Seems like above links cartomizer are male connector ends and the ego-t is a male connector end as well??

It only looks that way. If you look at the battery, there are both inner and outer threads. The outer threads are used to attach a cone if you're using 510 atomizers or cartomizers. (The cone hides the threads and makes the overall device tapered and sleek-looking) The inner threading is the 510 connector. When you attach one of these cartomizers your outer threads will still be exposed; you can by an eGo cone to cover that up if you wish.

    eGo Cone

Again, no worries. You're not dumb, just new. It takes a while to understand what everything is, and it can be quite bewildering. I had to spend a solid week before I even felt the slightest bit comfortable choosing my first PV. Even then I was still quite green. :) Give it time and you'll be speaking the lingo like like a first language. :)

Hello suzanka and welcome to ECF. I know the instructions say to charge 8 hours or so before using, but in reality you don't need to do that. Once the light on the charger turns green, it's ready to use.

I don't know why they don't update their instruction manual/sheet.

I think it's to fully calibrate your battery. A lot of cellphone manuals say the same thing for their batteries. Not sure if it's true but it can't hurt right?

What's the advantage of the dual coil cartomizer over the regular 2.0 ohm Smok Tech cartomizer?

Dual coils mean twice the coils to vaporize liquid, and because they run at very low resistance (1.4-1.6ohms) they run pretty hot and produce massive amounts of vapor, flavour and TH. However, they suck battery power like candy, so they're not really recommended for eGo batteries. They work, but they will shorten the overall life of your batteries.
