Well, guys, i just got my RIVA, but my cartomizers arent in yet... is there a good video or can someone help me on how to fill my cartidges? I tried one on my own. I took the cotton out, did 8 drops, then put the cotton in, let it soak a bit, then did a couple more drops to wet the cotton fully. then i put the safety cap on it, since i am still waiting for the riva to fniish charging. is this ok? can i do a bunch and leave them out?

If the filling is saturated but nit overflowing you are good there. You can fill a bunch no problem, but I'd suggest waiting. The polymer they come with sucks to be quite honest. It is slow to wick(wicking is allowing the juice to get into the atomizer) and can leave a burnt taste when that happens. I'd suggest dripping while you wait for cartos delivery.

Also, don't forget to blow out the primer fluid. One good blow o. The threaded end into a paper towel should do it. Then add 2-3 drops of whatever liquid you are going to use. Basically that replaces the primer fluid. If you try dripping add an additional 2-3 drops (from a freshly blown out atty I add 5 drops to it myself). Then put an empty cartrage(take the polymer out of it) and give it a try. Also, make sure to line up the cart with the wick in the atomizer. If you don't you can melt the cart a bit and burning plastic taste bad. If the flavor starts to get a little burny add a few more drops.

The cartridge will hold about 10 drops of juice. Be patient as it absorbs into the wicking material. Put a drop directly on the atomizer(the part the cartridge goes into) and then put the cartridge on the atomizer. You should be good to go. In my opinion, you will be much happier with the cartomizer. There are plenty of videos on youtube about filling 510 cartridges, just do a search.

Try this:

1. Blow through an atty real good from the battery end with the open end in a tissue or something (it may have primer in it...usually just pure PG but some folks report it tastes bad to them).

2. Screw the atty on a charged battery.

3. With no cart or anything installed...Drip 5 drops of liquid onto the bridge of the atty (looks kind of like wire mesh).

4. Do 3 burns without drawing any air through the atty. Two or three seconds per burn is good.

5. Drip 3 more drops on the atty bridge.

6. If you have a drip tip, put that on. If not, slap a blank cartridge on (the mock cap that has no poly-filler in it).

7. Vape happily. The bowl and bridge of the atty will hold enough for 20 to 40 good puffs usually. If you want to chain vape it, add 3 or so drops every 8 to 10 puffs till you're done.

8. When you're done vaping...stop adding liquid. Vape it till the flavor and vape drops off.

9. When done with that flavor, or planning to store for a long time...Remove the atty and give it a good blow from the battery end again and put it away.

This is how to 'drip'.

To use your carts...
Prime the atty as described above. 5 drips, 3 burns, 3 drips, wet your cart good and pop it in.

Note...not all bottle nibs drip the same...if yours seems to flood (gurgles or doesn't want to make vape) with 5+3 drops, keep vaping and it will eventually unflood...try priming it with 3 + 3 drips next time.

This method of priming the atty has always worked well for me...note the three primer burns...very important..as that gets the liquid flowing well through the mesh and wicks.

Happy vaping!
