bought a vivi nova with the black metal tank to put on my black mini provari...but found myself constantly unscrewing the top to see how much juice i had left...took it off for now...but i just ordered a new one with black plastic...why doesn't someone make a glass tank to go with the vivi nova?? i would be willing to spend the extra bucks for that..

Got a Vivi Nova this week. Loved it so much I went back to the store and got another.
The second one was defective. The extended post inside was bad. Wouldnt thread correctly on my Bolt, wouldnt fire, read 9.9a on my Vector VV, so I took it back for an exchange. Luckly I got it from a B&M store so I didnt have to deal with mailing things back and forth.

The replacement I got is different than the first 2. For one its slightly taller. Also, there is a little post coming up through the atty and out the rubber cap. Is this one a newer version than the other?
They both work great so Im not complaining, just wondering

The one with the post I believe is a head they give with the vision clearomizers. I have some of those as well. I got an assortment of heads. Short wick, long wick, thick wick, thin wick and a wick that almost looks to be cotton. I am sure they all work together. I ordered a few Thor's which are also the same heads. I would almost say they all get ordered from one company for assembly. Just my thoughts.

I just noticed something else different in the 2 VNs I have.
The newer one (taller tank with post through rubber cap) has a slightly longer atty thread base. All the other attys have a shorter thread base and they will not work at all on the longer tank as the bottom of the atty doesnt touch the post.
This is frustrating because now when I go to get replacements I have to make sure they are the attys with a longer thread otherwise they wont work.

I really wish the company that makes the Vivi Nova would be consistent with their manufacturing or at least mark their packaging as to show they arent the same.

Not very happy with this product right now.
They work well, but the inconsistency sucks.
I have no idea exactly what versions I really have.

The one on the left came with my vivi nova. The one on the right came with my Thor. Both are technically the same. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1346111959.382777.jpg

Yep, thats what they look like.
But the one on the right (with the little post coming up) has a slightly longer bottom after the thread. At least the one that I have does.
The problem is, the "shorter" ones dont work on the VN that came with the longer atty because they dont connect right with the inner post inside the tank extension.
Ive tried to pull it up, but it still doesnt work.

I'm with you cappy24! I wrote to Phiniac (they make great glass tanks) and asked if they would consider making a glass tank to fit the Vivi Nova, but never got a response. Wouldn't it be great though? I would pay extra for a Vivi Nova with a glass tank too!:vapor:

So would I. Then I just need replacement gaskets, I think you would have the cleanest vaping system possible.

I wasn't liking the Nova with the 2.4 head, but the 1.8 on my Twists lowest setting is very nice. I may completely stop using cartomizers, since Boge ruined their product.

Damn Boge's are still messed up?

For me yes, I basically have been using Boge LR cartos and BWB Backo has my all day, everday setup for 8 months or so. I know what things should taste like, vape like, leak or not, or any other oddities because I don't vary anything really. Once the double short condoms showed up, at least 70% of the Boge cartos were bad. I went through about 25 of these. I ordered more recently and they have the long and short condoms back, but the cartos are still the same garbage they were before. I may just toss them all in the trash. It's not worth wasting the juice to find the occassional carto that works. I've been using the Nova only for three days now. I've really only tried one juice, BWB cherry backo in it, but I am more than happy right now and don't miss the boge. Further more, I don't have to have the dang bottle with me all the time to top off which is nice.

Boge really screwed up, most people don't like to change things that work, but people adapt when they have to and I may never use another carto again.

I was told Boge is great. Sooooo I won't ahead and ordered I think 3. Well they were crap. First of all the filler was ..... Wouldn't absorb with the juices I was using. And the one I did get to absorb tasted like nastiness. Burnt and just all around a bad experience. So I contacted the place I got em from and they did kindly replace them. Along with all the other cartos I bought from them. They did send 3 new ones as a "sorry for the crap". Well guess what? They were garbage too! So all and all my Boge experience was not good at all. I'll stick with the cartos that I know are good. And my vivi is doing great. Love the flavors, vapor production and throat hit.

Got my 2.5 (long wicks) 3 days ago and am in love. Been having terrible luck with Boge and Smoktech cartos lately...seems that after only a day or two I am experiencing major decline in flavor and "end of the road" burnt taste with any juice I run through them. Didn't used to happen. Hated the stardusts and was hesitant to throw money at another clearo, but this thing is worth the money - great taste even after running 3 juices through it (cleaning between each one). Have had no wicking problems whatsoever (I prefer a 50/50 or 70/30 VG/PG blend). So glad to not have to worry about filler material anymore...there really is a difference in taste and performance. Just ordered a 5 pack of 1.8 ohm heads and a metal tube. Definitely worth a shot even if you've had bad luck with clearos in the past. Also looks great on a Bolt.
