I've been on the search for a PCC that could handle 510 batts and hold cartos. I've always liked the looks of the KR808d1 PCCs but didn't want to buy a whole new set of batteries and attys/cartos. I got 510 junk out the wazoo. So while I was checking updates at my usual retailers I found this.....

MAGMA ecig carrying case charger

I used to be a Volcano fan a while back and always thought of them as a stand up company. They always treated me well, but the L88b series started to get dull for me after getting an eGo.

The PCC works great for what I needed it for. Needed something small to hold some extra cartos and a space for charging a battery. It doesn't have any logos on it and when closed, looks just like a standard black e-cig clasp-case.

So far, it works great with 510 standard size manual batteries. Doesn't fit the mega batts. If you prefer cartos on your 510, you might want to check this out.

Oooh, nice find. That's actually pretty much exactly what I was looking for, except I wish it held 2 batteries. It doesn't look like it does. Is there any way to make it hold 2? I don't really need any space for carts or anything. I use a drip tip, and I want something to hold 2 batteries. A PCC for only 14 bucks is nice though, and I actually wanted one that looks like that. That's a nice find. I think I'm gonna have to order one. Do you know about how many times it'll charge a battery on a single charge and how long it will take to charge up yet?

Still testing it but so far its recharged a standard 510 manual battery from dead to full 5 times. MistressNomad is right though. The charger takes up all the space. One neat feature that I haven't seen on any of the KR PCCs is it has a little LCD battery meter to show the PCC's battery status. After 5 charges it still has two bars left on the PCC.

I just got mine today, and it didn't come with any instructions. It should be simple enough, but I'm a bit confused. Whether the USB plug is plugged into anything or not, the battery indicator just keeps filling up as though it's charging... And now it's still doing it even though I'm charging a battery with it. I don't get it. I would imagine green light means 510 battery is done charging, or that it's charging the battery within the case.

It's charging the 510 battery, but I can't tell if it's actually charging the unit itself or not. Is it even possible to charge the unit as you're charging a battery with the unit? And why the crap won't the battery indicator LED stop showing me that the unit is charging? The green light won't turn off, and the battery indicator keeps showing it's charging, whether it's plugged in or not...

It took a little while to figure out since there weren't any instructions for me too.

First, plug the usb cord into a power source to charge the PCC. The display should cycle through 4 bars (less if partially charged). The LED should be green and should stay on. Once charged, the bars will stop flashing/cycling but the LED stays on (green).

Unplug it and the LED and LCD screen will shut off. To check battery status, push the button once. The LCD will activate and show the PCC's battery status. The LED will glow green. Both will shut off after a few seconds.

Attach a 510 battery to the charging post. It will NOT start charging until you push and hold the button for 3 seconds or so. At this point, the LED will flash green and your 510 battery should start flashing. After a second or so, the LED will turn red to indicate that it is charging. It will shut off after a couple of seconds. To check the charge status of the 510 battery, push the button. The LCD and LED will come back on. If the LED is red, the battery is still charging. If green, it's done.

If you have the PCC USB cord plugged into a power source, you can still charge the 510 battery. Follow the same procedure as above. The difference is that the LED will flash green for a few seconds then switch to red. After a second or so, it will shut off. The LCD should remain on and continue to cycle until the PCC battery is done recharging. When the LED turns green and stays on solidly, it means that the 510 battery is done charging.

Leaving the battery screwed in after it's charged doesn't seem to have any effect on the PCC battery life. So far, I've been able to fully recharge a 510 battery 9 times before the PCC went dead. It took roughly 15-20 mins to recharge a standard 510 manual battery. It took roughly 1.5 hours to fully recharge the PCC from dead.

One peculiar note. If you use manual batteries, you do not need to screw the battery in all the way to get it to charge. All of mine seem to have the button sitting in a spot that would get depressed if I screwed it all the way in. Just screw the battery in until the 510 button is sitting free. Push the charge button. If the LED on the 510 doesn't light up, screw it in a little further. All of mine seem to hang loosely from the charging post but still flash when the PCC button is pushed. They charge up just fine. Weird but it works.

Okay, so I've pretty much observed exactly what you described, except... It doesn't seem to want to charge any batteries all of a sudden, the light will NOT turn off or change to red at all, and the LCD keeps cycling thru 0 to 4 bars as though it's charging, whether a battery is in the charging port, or whether it's plugged in, or completely disconnected. It doesn't matter. the light just stays on and stays green constantly, and the LCD just constantly shows charging, but no progress. Mine's defective, apparently. I need to send it back.. Damnit, now I have to wait longer for a PCC...

Thanks for all the info. I figured most of that, but I just wanted to make sure what I was expecting was right.

EDIT: Well, that's just lovely... Now the light and LCD finally went off, but they won't come back on... This is probably the fastest I've ever seen a product fail in my life...
