Just got the eVic and already thinking of modifying it... powdercoat

Being the tinker that I am, I am sitting here looking at my shiny new evic and wondering how I can improve it. Since I do some powdercoating on the side as a hobby, I was considering doing the tube, batt cover and cone in powder. Maybe a textured black or even a high gloss red.

Any reason not to do this? Seriously, am I overlooking something that would be bad for the unit if I do? Thanks!

Go for it. Be creative and enjoy.
All the important stuff is in the head. All the other parts are inexpensive.

Will do! Thanks for the encouragement. Now to pick a good color! I generally like subdued colors on my stuff but wondering of something flashy would be a nice change.

I really like that the ECA can come apart for a perfect match coating. If my Protank came apart I would coat it, but I don't want to break the seal on the glass tube.

I was looking at the pictures of the new Protank 2. It will be coming out soon and it is completely modular so we will be able to do exactly that! I can't wait!

yah, plug the top and remove the atomizer to plug the bottom. A little heat tape on the threads and off you go!

I just ordered an 18350 tube setup and battery for my evic. When that comes in I am going to get off my as and coat the original tube. Still up in the air on what color. I have a quite a few in stock and a free shipping account with eastwood so I guess anything is possible at this point. I tend to gravitate toward the darker colors although a pearl white has been crossing my mind quite a bit for the evic! I think that will go nice with the chrome controls on it.

I am thinking I will try a Gold base (transparent Gold) and then a wishbone stripe of Clear Violet over the top. Maybe tomorrow.
