Sorry kids.
Having a degree in Aviation Electronics from the United States Government and qualified to work on our highest grade Military Aircraft I can assert without hesitation that electricity is electricity.
A brand name does not impart any magical quality that gives one particular product superiority over another.
If you dial in the voltage and the amperage I don't give a crap what product you use, as long as you are comparing the same vehicle (delivery system) side by side there will be NO difference.
I sold mine to make room for ProVari #2. I am sure I can get one, but...
Don't we already know what the results would be?

What you know, you can't explain. But you feel it. You felt it your entire life. That there's something wrong with the world. You don't know what it is, but it's there. Like a splinter in your mind - driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me. Do you know what I'm talking about?
This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the ProVeri rabbit-hole goes.
Technically you are "nearly correct". However, there is a major difference in the Pulse Width Modulation in the chips used by the China-made mods and what the Provari uses. It can be proven on an osceloscope. The higher frequency wave created by the Provari creates a smoother wave form and can be determined to allow for a better vaping experience. The Provari might be more consistent then another particular electricity source. But the facts remain the same. Voltage is Voltage. Amperage is Amperage.
Anything that puts out the same Voltage and Amperage is going to be identical in function.
Item 1: A Tautology, and as such is not worthy of much response. The number of these I see on this forum is becoming quite taxing.
Item 2: I have tested the two models the OP referenced. The eVic and the ProVari. Let me explain why dialing in the voltage is not the same, and that ProVari does not rely on magic, but the most accurate device on the market.
I put both my eVic and my ProVari on a Fluke 333 True RMS Multimeter that I have calibrated annually. It's accuracy is not a matter that is easy to debate against. I used the two atomizers (one 1.8 ohm, one 2.5 ohm) the same battery so that I tested apples to apples with both units. Here are the results:

It's not magic. Someone with your advanced degree and qualifications should be able to figure it out with just a little research. Do a bit of investigation as to how these devices work, and get back to us with your answer.
That is acceptable proof that the Provari is more accurate in putting out the voltage as advertised. And it is likely more consistent in maintaining comparable Amperage at those voltages. Where it seems to shine is in maintaining accurate Voltage output at varying battery charge.
Likely this is why I use a USB Variable Voltage instead of a battery unless I am out on the streets.

I used to say the same thing in these very forums until I actually vaped one. ......then I bought one.....then another.
Your wrong..... Its just a better vape. A better taste comes through.
Im not making this stuff up. I have no body to "show off" my Mod to. There are vapers I know, but they dont read the forums, and they dont know a Provari from a Vamo or an SVD. It just works better. Thats why I bought them.
Me too. I thought my eVic was a better mod. I got a ProVari, and had to admit it was the superior mod.
Then I got another, cause black suits evenings so much better than Satin Silver...
But Jack P. is at least considering changing his mind. We will likely have another member in our ranks, soon enough...

I'm guessing similar results, given not having the provari electronics. Yet wouldn't the Evic/Vamo user just switch to the Wattage mode then?

Sure they could do that, but it would just be calculating the wattage based on the faulty voltage number. I had my eVic in the mode where it displayed Battery Life, Ohms, Volts, and Watts. By the way, I love that display! That is the one thing I do miss about the eVic. Too bad the information was pretty bogus.
Here is the screen I am talking about, although this image was not during the test.

Anyway, it was reporting faulty wattage based on the bad numbers of the volts. The ohm checker was pretty close.
