Hi All,
New to vaping, new to the Vamo V3 and new to the settings. I am using the V3 With the Protank 2.6 ohm atomizer,18350 Efest batteries. What I would like to know is what does changing the watts do for vaping and what does changing the voltage do?. The reason I ask is because I have changed them and ended up having big throat hits that actually make my eyes water. I'm looking to get the perfect settings for a mild throat hit but maximum vapor.

As I have only been using this 3 hours I'm wondering how to get this perfected and work out what changing the Watts and Volts does.

Also does leaving the juice top off in a shoe box for a couple of weeks actually better the flavors?

I would love any advice and maybe some tips from any of the vapors from around the globe.

thanks very much look forward to lots of suggestions and help

Thanks

:)Vape on y'all

As for the juice, some are good the first day you get it and some juices need to age (steep) for at least a few days and I've also had some juices that just never get better no matter how long I've let them steep.

I don't have the Vamo (I got the SVD), but for a 2.6 coil, I usually set my voltage around 4.2 to 4.4 volts depending on the juice. That's what works best for me, but like they say taste is subjective. Those voltage settings should give you a good starting point and you can adjust up or down until you get the taste to where you like it.

For a fairly good explanation on ohms law and how it applies to your voltage and wattage settings, watch the PBusardo video.

Agreed, VV is to fine tune a vape on one tank and VW takes into account the Resistance on the Tank, VW if you switch tanks a lot and VV if you do not. With resistance that high I usually set it at 3.7 and bump it up until I get that perfect pull. It changes often I have had it up to 5.0 before I was satisfied before

I have the vamo 3 and I generally use the power setting ie wattage because the vamo 3 will read the resistance of your coil and adjust the voltage automatically .
I usually start at 6 watts and adjust from there , each juice is different but 6 watts is a good starting point, I'm using the protank as well and hope this helps you.

Honestly just keep fiddling with it and find the settings you like, I've only used mine for a few days, but I have a tank or two that I use just the voltage settings, and others I use the wattage, to help improve the taste of those tanks, the wattage setting will automatically adjust the voltage as you increase the wattage setting to help with the flavor.

so your saying that if i up the watts i get more flavor or less flavor?

depends on the juice. But usually, the higher the watts, the more vapor and flavor that are produced. But it is possible to go past the spot where the most flavor is delivered. Just play with it to find which you like the most.
If you go too high, you might get a dry hit,so back it down from there. But it usually best to start low, and work up until you find where you like it.

Whats VV and VW:blush:, do I need to change the voltage at all and if I do what does it do the the experience?. I just tried starting at 7.0 watts and that was nice and as I upped the watts by 0.5 I got to 9.0 and got the biggest throat hit, but I don't get a lot of flavor at all, is that cause I have just opened the bottle?

vv/vw... they both do the same thing. Only difference is how they measure it. VV says 3.6 volts, and if you change tanks, it will still be 3.6. VW says 6Watts, which it translates to 3.6 volts, but if you switch heads, and the resistance is different, it will adjust the volts to match 6 watt outputs. Might be 3.6 volts, might be 3.8, might be 3.4...
If you just adjust it up or down with the same, it's like volume control.

Vapor without flavor might mean it needs steeping (like tea or stew .. can take days to weeks to months depending on the juice). Or it might be a really light flavored juice that you can't taste because of Vapors Tongue, or just switching off smoking, or because of X.

Flavor is highly subjective, and varies not only from person to person, but even varies over time with the same person.

What juice is it? And how long ago did you stop smoking? Or are you doing both now?

A almost simple answer, wattage is how we read the heat output of the coil, the higher the ohm the higher the volt you need.

For example In volt mode! Not accurate just an example
With a 1.8ohm you need to set the volts to 3.7v to get a 8w output
With a 2.8ohm you need to set the volts 4.5v to get the same 8w output

In Voltage mode you need to re-adjust your voltage every time you change tank with a diferent ohm reading..

    In wattage,
You setup your device to 8watts lets say, no matter what resistance ohm you put the vamo will read it and adjust your voltage automatically to get tha same 8w output no matter what ohm reading is in the coil

Its E-Liquid in a half grey half orange box the flavor is tutti fruit 8mg. Just stopped smoking today so yeah maybe its my taste buds...so much I can see now can effect the flavors. Had my last real dirty smoke 3 hours ago.

Sometimes increasing power (wattage) will only make your vapor taste burned. There are a lot of variables. I like to start around 6 watts (or 4 volts if using voltage) and work my way up. Some juices also change throat hit dramatically with raised voltage/wattage too. Start low and go up till you like what you are getting.
