A almost simple answer, wattage is how we read the heat output of the coil, the higher the ohm the higher the volt you need.

For example In volt mode! Not accurate just an example
With a 1.8ohm you need to set the volts to 3.7v to get a 8w output
With a 2.8ohm you need to set the volts 4.5v to get the same 8w output

In Voltage mode you need to re-adjust your voltage every time you change tank with a diferent ohm reading..

In wattage,
You setup your device to 8watts lets say, no matter what resistance ohm you put the vamo will read it and adjust your voltage automatically to get tha same 8w output no matter what ohm reading is in the coil

So If I choose 7.5w and have a 2.6 Ohm resistance the vamo will automatically select the correct voltage?

Yes, But if you are using only one tank with one juice at a time I prefer Voltage. My personal preference so I can fine tune the taste to where I want it to be.

But if you have 3 tanks you swap back and forth wattage is a must

well as I only have 1 tank at the moment and 1 juice, as my delivery of 3 tanks and 12 juices arrives monday or tuesday...I am in that situation. But going on what OlDogNewTricks says above your post, that the vamo will automatically choose the voltage depending on what watts you a vaping with, does that mean that if you choose the voltage, does the Vamo then automatically choose the correct wattage?

They are both the same sort of thing, but think of it this way.

Voltage = Amount of power going in
Wattage = Amount of power coming out.

It's the resistance that determines how much wattage comes out on same voltage going in. (and it can vary based on the coil)

If you are regulating the volts going in, you don't worry about the amount of wattage coming out.

BUT if you are regulating the watt coming out, then the VAMO will decide what volts need to go in to get those watts coming out for the resistance of the coil you have attached to it.

But both do the same thing, apply more or less power to get the vape you want. IF you want the same power when changing heads, use Wattage. Since even the same type of coil can vary wildly (such as the coils in the Protank or EVOD).

Not exactly. But yes
You adjust the voltage to get the wattage you want, using voltage mod you need to learn a little from the ohm law, or use the folowing table, you will need to adjust the voltage by your self so you get the watt output you want the vamo does not do anithing for you is more like a manual mode,

In watt mode the the vamo reads the ohms on the coil and make the math to setup the voltage needed to get your desire output.. (Watt mode = the vamo do the setup for you)

Wattage is not a setup perse is just the way to mesure the output af a setup
Voltage is the current setup you put to get that output you want.

If you still dont understand i recomend to you use the wattage (power) mode so you will not need to figure out or do any math. Put your device at 6watts and vape go up or down untill you liked, and that will the watt output you liked,

i like to vape at 7-8w on clearos and 9-10w on RDA and in RDA with a parallel coil i pump up my Device to 15w with stacked batteries so i will get 7.5w on each coil

In wattage mode no matter what head I'm using 1.8ohm, 2.2ohm, 2.5ohm the vamo adjust the voltage up or down so i always get +\- the same vape always
